So 6stringedsignseeker and I had an idea. He came up with a small plot, and we both decided to write a short story on it. Basically what we want is to get as many people as we can together to write it, then create a forum for everyone to post their story.

The plot: Someone is walking through the forest with a plain wooden box that may or may not contain the last dragon egg. (This isn't the forum to post the finished story, it's just the forum to let us know if you wanna do this)

I sure hope I posted this in the right forum.

I haven't started writing it yet. I think I will tomorrow though... or later today since it's 2:40 am Right now, I'm going to sleep though. If anyone else wants to write their version of the story say hi It's all just for fun. I guess we'll see some different outcomes for the same plot idea. I think it will be fun.

Quick question: By 'may or may not be the last dragon egg' are you saying that it may or may not be a dragon egg? Or are you saying that it may or may not be the last dragon egg?

Any way you want to look at it. It may or may not be the last dragon egg, meaning there may be more. Or it may or may not be the last dragon egg in the box, meaning the box might have something else in it entirely... or nothing at all.

This is a great idea! I'd like to give it a try. Is there a word limit?

I would say write until you think the story is finished. If you can do it in a thousand, that's great. If you can do it in 10,000, that's great too

So are we all supposed to just post our stories in the fireside when we are finished with 'em? Or is there a thread for them?

I guess we should put them in the Fireside. I suppose we can post here to let others know it's in the Fireside, and then type Last Dragon Egg before our title of choice... or Last Dragon Egg and then our user name.

Oh, has anyone posted a story in the Fireside yet? I looked but didn't see anything, so I thought I'd check here just in case.

Two people have that I know of – Roager, and Astronomer. One is the Last Dragon's Egg, the other is Silly Little Box.

Great! I still need to finish working on mine as well. I think it will be fun to see how different each other's finished work is based on the same plot idea.

Yeah...it has already been quite varied, just with two people, and mine that I am working on is no exception. I'm looking forward to more.
