Hello. It's me again with some Ska'Lah'Seh history this time. Keep in mind any comparisons with science are purely intentional lol.

The Coming of Sky, Land, and, Sea
In the beginning the world was void and without form. Then God came upon it and called out. "Let the void be filled with Sky" and so the Sky came forth from the void filling it with stars and and lesser matter and God saw that it was good. Then God called again "Let the stars not be alone let land be formed to accompany the stars" and so spheres of Land formed from the lesser matter and followed around the stars and God saw that it was good and again God called out "Let the seas be born upon the Land's so that they are not left barren and empty" and so the Seas sprung forth from the Land and made it fertile and good and so God came upon the place where the Land and Sea met and took the mud from that place and formed life. Each Being made as he saw fit apart from all others. Upon Man did God heave the charge of greatness and to him he gave voice.

-Seh'Fir Ska'V A translation of the Ald'Lib from the old tongue.

I will be submitting more soon some will be basic history and others translations of the Ald'Lib (Good Book) by Seh'Fir (Sea Fire) V'Ska (Wild Sky=Storm) and others some basic historical reference.

Lol, did you mean "purely unintentional" comparisons with science? ;)

Anyway... :book:

An interesting rework of Genesis! What does "Lesser matter" mean? Is it poetic/archaic language for "stuff that isn't stars", or are there other implications?

Nope, I meant purely intentional. I just knew some would ask that.

I think that's really interesting! :D

What is this text from? Is it for a textbook for children in school, or in the library, etc.? :)

Its supposed to be like the bible. It's the Ald'Lib (Good Book)
Ska'Lah'Seh's version of the bible. They cant be exactly the same.

Seh'Fir- Is this thing on?

Reporter- Yes Mr. Ska'V the recording device is on.

Seh'Fir- Yes, Yes, Good, Good.

Reporter- Know Mr.Ska'V may I call you Mr. Ska'V

Seh'Fir- No.

Reporter- Than what shall I call you.

Seh'Fir- Call me Slappy.

Reporter- Ehem! Slappy Sir? Why Slappy?

Seh'Fir- I just wanted to see the look on your face call me whatever you like.

Reporter- (Mumbles something about a senile old man under his breath) Well Mr. Ska'V I'm sure you know what the topic of the hour is?

Seh'Fir- No I don't.

Reporter- (A look of disdain on his face) I am speaking of course about how a member of the Grey Circle a purely academic organization would translate the Ald'Lib a religious text.

Seh'Fir- I don't really see what the fuss is all about you don't have to be an ordained Shepherd to follow the will of Dia. The truth of the matter is I did it for purely academic purposes many great works of literature allude to the Ald'Lib the problem is that vary few people outside of the White Circle know the Old Tongue little lone have the time to go visit the Ald'Lib'Hah'Lah scattered across all of Ska'Lah'Seh.

Reporter- (Seemingly dumbstruck by the first statement) You mean your a believer?

Seh'Fir- Yes I am quite religious in fact. Why would you be so surprised? Most of the great minds in history where believers why cant I a lowly academic have Faith in something greater than I. I know the White and Grey Circles haven't always seen Eye to Eye. Many of my fellow circle members are vary critical of my faith but it does not bother me. In fact it's a little known fact but the Grey Circle was actually founded by one of the Seven Saints Ald'Ah whose name means good life and the patron of knowledge discovered an Ald'Lib'Hah'Lah with the words roughly translating to "To you my children I give wisdom a sacred gift do not fear it embrace it For I am your God and I give it to you my children." It is actually in the Antechamber of the Grey Tower as we speak. Has been for centuries.

Reporter- Well its just that the church of the...

Seh'Fir- The Church of the Eight Saints can kiss my loafers i am a member of the Faith not there poor excuse for government funded religion. In fact I was doing this partially on the request of a friend who happens to be one of there shepherds.

Reporter- (Eyes wide) Your friends with...

Seh'Fir- Nam'An Ald'An.

Reporter- You mean the...

Seh'Fir- He ain't got the shinny gold shepherds crook yet.

From an interview with Seh'Fir Ska'V done by an anonymous reporter.
-Seh'Fir Ska'v as wild as the Sky.

That's great!

A very creative way to demonstrate the character of some of the institutions in your world and a little about how they interact. Very nice!

You could probably afford to check your spelling and punctuation, though. I think there might be some missing commas or periods and stuff. :book:

Thank you I loved developing Seh'Fir's character while also showing the nature of the Grey Circle. Also I would like to note the church of the eight was a typo its the church of the Eight saint its the same religion as the Faith only with an extra saint and a strict belief that the Ald'Lib may only be read from the Ald'Lib'Hah'Lah.

I hope Seh'Fir's personality was conveyed properly. This will most likely not be his last interview.
