Next world for y'all to see, Fantasia (which obviously needs a new name).
I created Fantasia back in 2001-ish or so and have been plagued by its incompletion ever since. The premise of Fantasia is probably the easiest to summarize out of all my worlds. In fact, I can do so in a single sentence:
Fantasia was created as a world completely inhabited by different types of fairies. This was a fairly easy idea at the time, because my outdated set of World Book encyclopedia only mentioned 10 or so types of fairies in its "Fairy" article. Then as I got older and researched more, I found more and more and more and more and more types of fairies from around the world. So many that I gave up on the hope of cramming every type of fairy into Fantasia. The largest factor has been deciding which races stay, which races go, and which new races I can add in.
The initial narrative premise had to do with a world war over who would ascend to the throne left vacant by the late Elvish king. The war was initially between the Elves and the Dwarves, but pretty soon everyone got pulled into it until the Elvish spies dealt the Dwarves a crippling blow by incapacitating the source of Dwarvish magic. That was more of background to the various stories that took place at the end of the war. At the end of the war Oberon is crowned king of the Elves and hence of all fantasia (kinda, it's more politically complicated than that and not all well-developed). Oberon marries Titania, whose sister Mab was the center of most of my imaginings. Mab was Queen of the Moon people, fairies that live in cities in the clouds and mine the moon for magical "moon gems". Most of my imaginings surrounded Mab's exploits that helped secure her brother-in-law's reign. When I finally started thinking about writing a novel, it focused mainly on the war and Oberon's journey to kingship. But I haven't visited that idea in ages.
Fantasia has maintained its place in my heart due to some of its unique races that I would hate to see go elsewhere. Among them are the Dragons, which are basically humanoid individuals descended from fiery lizards that took on human form. The story is actually a bit more complicated than that, but I won't get into that here. The Dragons are just one of several types of Pyrosaurs ("fire lizards" = dragon-like elementals) including the pukis, fire drakes, dendrosaurs, and several others.
Another race in Fantasia that I'm particularly fond of are the Gremlins, a mountain race with superior technology to any other in the world at that time. They're descended from air elementals. One of my favorite elements of Gremlin culture is the awesome gliders that they use to travel through the air.
I also turned the Dryads into a race in Fantasia and in fact, the Elves' current noble stature and magical prowess are due to Dryad descent. Originally elves were short sprite-like creatures resembling those of folklore and fairy tales.
I could go on and on describing the races of Fantasia, but I think you get the general idea. Over the years there have been several small developments of great interest, but there remains much development to be done before I can find a story worth telling in this world. And I see now that I will definitely need to start posting some of the more interesting aspects for y'all to mull over

.
Let me know what y'all think. And feel free to ask questions. I can probably answer most of them (I hope).
In Christ,
