The mountain tiger is a creature of beauty, with the body of a mountain lion and the stripes of a tiger. They are called yacavrop in Skrac and mountain tigers in Val.

The yacavrop are solitary hunters that live in the Colering Range and in the jungles in the Yewin and Skatros Territory. The cat's strength is in it's muscles. It is an ambush predator that hunts at dusk and dawn. Their coloring is a dark brown with black stripes. The eye coloring is usually a gold or amber but some are seen with blue or even pink eyes.

There are albinos and black variations of the species. Unlike most animals, the albino survives by traveling north to hunt for seal in the ice encased tundra. The albinos have no stripes and replace the polar bears. These seem to have branched off from their brown relatives down south but are still the same species. As to how the tiger knows to travel north, no one knows.

In Skrac, the albinos are called soluhi which translates to "white ghost". Some of the soluhi have become domesticated by the skreeks in Yana'ra and are used for tracking down caribou.

The black ones are almost non-existant and live in the heart of the jungle. For some reason, their eyes are always a pretty orange.

All yacavrop are excellent at traveling over rough terrain but lack stamina in running. Their competition include bears and wolves and both have been known to steal their kills, although a run-in with a pack of wolves is easily fought off.

They are the size of a tiger.

The Rainbow in the Storm- My Blog

Be careful of your thoughts; guard your mind, for your thoughts become words. Be guarded when you speak, for your words turn into action. Watch what you do, for your actions will become habits. Be wary of your habits, for they become your character. Pray over your character; strive to mold it to the image of Christ, because your character will shape your destiny.

Ideas can germinate from the smallest seeds. Collect those seeds, and let them grow in the back of your mind. You may be surprised by what finally blooms.

When God takes something from your grasp, he's not punishing you. Instead, He’s opening your hands to receive something better. The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.
