Please comment on these and let me know what you think!

The Rikallians -

Rikal is a large island to the east of Araeth. They are humans in all respects of the word, all features are the same. The Rikallians were the most versed in technologies and metallurgy. They are also the most skilled race as a whole in usage of The Itaari Arts. During the Golden age of Rikal running water and complex machines were widely used. They developed black powder weapons of astonishing accuracy and were the first to create Itaari crystal based weapons. Which were capable of focusing fire into tight and super heated beams. They live about one hundred and twenty years on average. Rikallians tend toward the Fire and Wind Elemental alignments. One of the most notable group of Rikallians are The Aashvirri. They are Demon Hunters, which were appointed by El to destroy the fallen Elders. (Dragons, Demons, etc…) They are able to wield electricity and magnetism unlike any other people, and their skeletons are naturally infused with metal alloys.

The Arathians –

The continent of Araeth is the homeland of these people. They have generally blond or silver hair and blue eyes. This is the only eye color in their gene pool as a matter of fact. They are generally the same as Rikallians in appearance, save their elongated and pointed ears. They have a longer life span than humans, by about eighty years. In addition their senses are generally better. They are able to sense and distinguish the energies of other living things which are nearby. Also they form telepathic bonds with people they have prolonged contact with, which allows them to sense the emotional and physical state of those people. Arathian women form this bond with their children during pregnancy. An individual Arathian is able to form this bond with any race, though the reverse is true only of other Arathians. They excel in the knowledge of nature and are able to manipulate the growth of trees into dwellings. They are especially skilled with the bow and the sword as well as close range combat and acrobatics. However, they lack skill in utilizing The Itaari Arts, and some are unable to learn it at all.

The Loukrians –

Loukria is an arctic continent far to the south of both Rikal and Araeth. Loukrians have a blue skin color and their hair colors range from bronze to white. Eye colors range from brown to yellow. They are very heavily built and muscular, standing on average, 6 to 7 feet tall. Because of this build they are well suited to colder climates. Their architecture and culture is very Nordic, they are excellent craftsmen and hunters. Despite their climate they live very comfortably in both subterranean and mountainous cities. They excel in creating dwellings that are easily able to deal with the harsh temperatures and withstand natural disasters such as avalanches. Aside from the Rikallians they are the most advanced in terms of metallurgy. They have a natural affinity for the Wind and Water alignments of the Itaari Arts. Their life span is similar to that of humans.

The Alesians –

The Alesian deserts are a region in the northern parts of Araeth. Distinguishing features are simple enough. Most notably they have two large flat toes instead of the typical five. Their skin is more leathery in general and able to withstand heat much more easily. Height is similar to Arathians and Rikallians. Hair color is typically blond or grey. Eye color is most commonly bright green though it can also be yellow on occasion. These people often tightly wrap themselves in soaked cotton bandages as protection from the sun, often leaving only one eye visible in addition to their hands and feet from the wrists and ankles onward. They typically wear very elaborate clothing over top of these bandages. Their architecture is similar to Egyptians or Babylonians. They are skilled in tactics of espionage and are well versed in the Itaari Arts. They tend as a race toward the Earth and Wind elemental alignments. Masonry and glass working are the main skills of the Alesians.

The Auraians-

The Auraians live on a small island chain far southeast of Rikal. Despite this their climate is quite warm, something which is not easily explained. Their skin is blue and the males of the species stand up to twelve feet tall, however a natural bend in their backs brings them down to around 7 feet in height. Their eyes are bright pink exclusively and they glow brightly. They often have heavily braided black hair which is styled similar to dreadlocks. The females are similar in most respects to Loukrians, save the eyes and hair coloring. This race is naturally telepathic, able to project their thoughts into the minds of others. However they cannot naturally read thoughts and are not naturally telekinetic. They are the most fervent followers of El and are regarded as extremely wise by other races. They live in large plains and their architecture is extremely simplistic, wood frames wrapped by leather. The islands of Aura are similar to Africa in terrain, though they have a very interesting glow about them, and iron in the soil causes it to turn red. Trees are rare and most of the islands are covered in tall golden grass. The Auraians are unable to wield any branch of the Itaari Arts except the Mind branch, in which they excel beyond words. In other words, they have a Psionic, rather than an Elemental, alignment.

The Akkatari –

The Akkatari are, as a race, servants of the High Dragon, Oushann’ Akbale. Their skin is a gold color and they have strong carapaces like insects. Eye color is always a very dark navy blue with a gold pupil. They have no hair. These people have no home continent; if ever they did it has been utterly destroyed. They exist only to serve as their master’s army. The most loyal and prominent of the Akkatari warriors are turned into Prophets. Their bodies are transmuted into huge-golden-metal constructs and their souls are contained within a crystal for the remainder of their lives. It is this crystal that animates the body of the Prophet, if it is destroyed they are released from this life. Emotions are hard to come by among the Akkatari who have all been plagued by war since birth. They have natural weapons embedded throughout their bodies, spines, razor sharp edges to their carapaces, and more… The Akkatari have a natural affinity for the Earth and Fire elemental alignments.

The Mournai –

This race dwells on the western-most portion of Araeth alongside the Arathians and Alesians. They are now a reclusive people, and have little contact with outsiders, though once they ruled a great empire. The Mournai, of all races, are the most heavily infused with Elder Blood. As a result of this nearly all of them are driven by darkness and hatred. They attempted in ancient times to conquer all of Araeth, and nearly succeeded. But at the last moment something went wrong in their plans. One of their crystalline based technologies malfunctioned; that caused a temporal wave which sent all of Tira into The Great Slumber. For a time the Mournai seemed to have entirely discontinued existence, they faded from memory. But they were discovered again, dwelling on the western side of the great mountains. They are much like Rikallians yet easily recognizable; one of their most distinguishing features is a series of small hard ridges on the bridge of their nose. The Mournai learned much of and greatly contributed to the development of all the demonic arts. This includes Soul Crafting, the Elder Bloods, Demonic Unification, and even Demonic Summoning. Indeed this race, more than any other, is tied to the twisted goals of The Judgment Eye. In addition to this they have also developed more advanced Itaari Technologies than any other race, including the Veritoss, who excel rather in Mechanical Technology. The Mournai do not have any natural elemental affinity.

Very interesting races. I particularly think it original that your elves aren't the most skilled race in magic/the Itaari Arts.

I find the Auraians intriguing and would love to hear more about them.

Thanks! ^_^

I shall endeavor to elaborate further on the Auraians then. May take me awhile to properly articulate my thoughts however. :?

I love that they are called the fallen Elders.

Very interesting.

Could I use the idea of the yellow pupil for my exoskeletonized race?
They already have nothing in common with your race: they have hair, their covering is not particularly strong, never golden, never with spines or with other embedded weapons, they are not unemotional or plagued by war, they do not all serve one lord, and they do not serve dragons. They do not have particular powers over earth or fire.
They are not made into metal constructs, or have their souls contained in crystals (very good, very interesting ideas those are).
The blue and yellow would not be their only eye color; they would also have different shades of white, black, and gray, and blood-red, emerald-green, parrot-blue, amethyst-purple, and crystal-pink. The yellow pupil would be occasional.

Maybe I am only using my question as an excuse to talk about my own race.

I very much liked the names:
Araeth
Rikal
Loukria
Alesian deserts
Aura
Auraian
Akkatari
The High Dragon, Oushann’ Akbale

How do you pronounce Oushann’ Akbale? Are the suffixes "ia" and "ian" changed from made up suffixes, or were the words made with those suffixes already there?

Sure, I've no problem with you using that color. ^_^

I'm not all that good with this stuff when it comes down to syntax and all that...

The best way I can think of to show how it's pronounced is like this:

Ou' shaun' ak' bale

I really don't know how else to do it... :?

I loved all of them. :D You have crafted quite memorable races for your world. I would especially love to hear more about the Loukrians and Alesians. :)

What kind of blue color is the skin of the Loukrians and Auraians?

What are the different kinds of dark elder?

Are the Aakarti creations of the High Dragon or are they creations of God?

A1. There are several different kinds, the two I've developed most are the Dragons and the Shinigami. Which is Japanese for "death spirit."

Dragons I've already described somewhat in the following topic. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3555

The Shinigami are the most powerful types of Demons. Able to kill in an instant simply by making contact with their opponent's blood. They are the some of the highest ranking servants of Baal. Not sure what else to say here... :?

A2. No, at the current time period they are equal with Elves, because both live on the same continent. Rikal has actually been submerged almost entirely and its people were forced to evacuate. There's a lot more to it then just that. But suffice it to say Human and Elven cultures have been infused for the most part.

A3. The Akkatari were originally creations of El, however, they have a blood debt to their master. They are slaves to be honest. None of them ever wanted that. But they no longer have any other choice, at least, that is how they perceive things to be.

Is "Ou" the sound in the word "soon" (oo), is "au" the sound in the word "call" (ah), etc.?

What texture is their skin? Do they flush or grow pale? Are there some with more brownish blue skin? Are there some with darker blue skin?

A1. Yes, that sounds correct.

A2. I'd say realtively the same as ours in the texture department, maybe a bit tougher. As for shades, it's impossible not to have occasional shifts and deviations, this race would actually flush purple, if they ever did.

First, I'll have to agree with everyone that I love your names!

Secondly, I was wondering if all the races walked on two legs. Are the Auraians extra strong because their height or just taller than everyone else? The bend in there back affects their height by five feet???? That must be quite a bend. Wouldn't that put their arms near the ground?

Yes, they all walk on two legs, I'm not entirely sure about the Auraians skeletal structure but the arms would definitely be near the ground that's true.
