The fanaedr are half fly, half oriole. They are mostly controlled by the faeries.

The fanaedrs’ eyes are bird-like, orange, and small, and their short beaks are orange with a rounded black tip. Their heads are mostly black, with orange under their chins. The fanaedrs’ bodies are very small, around the size of a fly, and are a little stout. They are black with orange stomachs. Their short legs and feet are small, thin, and black with orange tips. They do not have a tail. Their black and orange wings have a two millimeter span (at most).

The fanaedr are semi-sapient. They do not have any cobhaic powers. They are mainly used as pets. Most fanaedr are tamed, leaving a small colony of untamed birds. They give birth to ten young at a time, which hatch from extremely small, orange eggs. Fanaedr can live for up to three years. Their call is an high pitched buzz with an occasional chirp. They are friendly, devoted, loyal, but somewhat obnoxious.

The things I have outlined here are what is usually the case. It is possible for fanaedr to differ from this description. Those who do are either adored or shunned. If you have any questions about why I made them a certain way, ask away! It will help me to solidify them.

Sounds pretty good to me. They're basically fly-sized birds then? What would their internal anatomy look like? Would it be more insect like or are they only similar to flies in the size?

I'm guessing the Fanaedr don't necessarily fight much in battles or anything like that? :)

I like it! They sound like they would be a good way to info around. Can they talk to any of the races? Those eggs must be microscopic!

Sounds cool. You mentioned that they were semi-sapient. How so? Can they only think for themselves so much? I'm just having a hard time picturing what semi-sapient would look like practically.
