Weekly Challenge #234: Write about a song

NaNo Challenge (3 bonus points): Have someone make a pie

Directions:
1. Post on the challenge thread, declaring the goals you have committed to. This must be done before midnight on Monday.
2. When you have finished your goals, post on the challenge thread again, stating what goals you have completed, how many times you have completed them, and whether any of them were combined.
3. At midnight on Saturday you are not allowed to report any more finished goals, and the challenge is over.

Rules:
1. You can repeat the weekly challenges, and get more points, but if you repeat your own personal goal, you will not get extra points.
2. The organizer has the right to veto any personal goal that seems too easy (i.e. writing a sentence).

Points:
You can earn points in these ways:
1. completing the weekly challenge
2. repeating the weekly challenge
3. completing your personal goal
4. combining your personal goal and the weekly challenge

Completed Weekly Challenge: (Write about a song): The song was playing in the background of the action and inspired the tone of the events.
Completed Personal Goal: (Complete NaNo & verify)

(3:30 PM) NaNo Challenge: (Have someone make a pie) - this one is proving unexpectedly difficult. With NaNo finished, I was going to bake an actual pie to celebrate today. Unfortunately, I am lined up behind a long que of the wife's Christmas Cookies. I hope to still get my turn at the oven before midnight. :)

(6PM update) Completed NaNo Challenge ... Pie cooling and will be ready to eat in 2 hours.

(10:30 PM update) ... the Pumpkin Pie was delicious.
