Weekly Challenge #232: Write about this or a similar setting.

NaNo Challenge (3 bonus points): Write about birds.

Directions:
1. Post on the challenge thread, declaring the goals you have committed to. This must be done before midnight on Monday.
2. When you have finished your goals, post on the challenge thread again, stating what goals you have completed, how many times you have completed them, and whether any of them were combined.
3. At midnight on Saturday you are not allowed to report any more finished goals, and the challenge is over.

1. You can repeat the weekly challenges, and get more points, but if you repeat your own personal goal, you will not get extra points.
2. The organizer has the right to veto any personal goal that seems too easy (i.e. writing a sentence).

I almost said that (only going all the way through Saturday), but decided I better not due to other things happening this week.

It wasn't that far of a reach for me. I made 14,000 words last week's goal and actually averaged closer to 3000 words per day Monday-Friday (slowing down on the weekends).

I have 3 short stories running in parallel, plus the Mining Outpost story that I play with here on HW, plus Theology Debates/Apologetics/Sermons and some miscellaneous research on topics that interest me all rolled together into a stream of consciousness collection of thoughts and notes and story fragments that I shove through the word counter.

That's why I listed it as a NaNoWriMo Rebel (anything but a novel).

I don't want to write a novel. I just like to write. Like a meditation, or something to cleanse the palette of my thoughts, before starting a new stressful task at work.

Personal goal, reach 34,000 for the month.

I got just under 12,000 written last week and this week is a little busier, I think. I'm a NaNo rebel, too! Not because I don't write novels, but because the story I wanted to write is novella length, plus I have editing to do which will include adding some scenes to a novel I've already written. Happy writing!

I will be 8 days on a boat with the family and no internet.

Personal Goal complete! Barely though. I knew I would be writing any today, so I got to bed a little late (again) yesterday.

NaNo challenge finished.

Guess what? I actually did end up getting over 10,000 words this week.
