─¦Vana
A small hill you find to be, in fact, the curvature of the earth.
The blackness of a young ant.
An astronomer gazing through his telescope into the depths of a little girl’s eye.
A falling star that pauses, and wanders curiously before finishing its course.
Kissing the broken arm of a giant.
Sea froth resting among the grass blades, at the furthest extent of a tsunami.
Touching forehead to forehead.
A severed wing that continues to fly alone.
A drop of dew that runs up the stem and leaf of a plant rather than down it.
A friend thrusting their fingers into your hair to keep them company.
A star that gives birth to many small stars.
A small, warm, beating heart on a slender, threadlike chain around one’s neck.
A catch in the voice as one reads a long ballad.
A girl that still sees farther than a hawk when her hair has fallen over her face and covered both her eyes.
The wand of an ever young lord of his art.
A small person walking across the palm of your hand.
A wind blows, and the chicks hatch.
A firm handclasp.
Dew sprinkling bare feet.
Carrying a sheaf of arrows in your arms.
Fingertips turning red in winter cold.
The weight of a raindrop in your hand.
Travelling up a mountain and down the other side with as little thought as though you travelled on the plains.
A careless flute melody, that yet makes children weep when they hear it.
Hearing calls from here and there in the wilderness, but never seeing a person from any distance.
A place where the clouds rise like water from a spring and wander the world like rivers.
A sleeve wrapping the arm.
What do you think?
What parts stand out to you? Does it give you any ideas? Do you have a question about some part? Does any of it remind you of something?
