I'm taking a Technical Writing class this semester that requires me to write just one, but quite lengthy, technical document on a subject of my choice. And for this paper I'm supposed to have at least one specific person in mind as my target audience, whom I will (if I remember the syllabus and discussion properly) have to ask to evaluate (test) what I produce. My strongest idea at this point is a set of instructions on "How to Produce a Collection of Poetry using LaTeX," including how to produce a PDF (suitable for handing to something like CreateSpace) and EPUB and Kindle format ebooks. However, I don't have a "target user" lined up yet. Would any HWer like to volunteer to work with me over the course of this fall semester? This would involve answering questions to help me write a document specifically tailored to you, and then reading, testing, and giving feedback on the document as I develop it. |

I imagine the tester would have to install LaTeX on their computer to be of much help to you? |

Yes. How to do so will, I expect, be covered in the document, but it would be immensely difficult to write what I'm thinking of for someone who doesn't have access to a computer on which he or she can install software. |
