| I just wrote this up real quick so I apologize for any typos, spelling/grammar errors, ect. Just a quick note, Duzenlemesi is an adaptation of a Turkish word meaning manipulation. In my story, I'll be using the concept to illustrate man's depravity as most "magicians" succumb to the inherent temptations that this kind of power entails. ><><><>< The term ‘magic’ was coined by layman from the Dominion of Noah (our universe) to describe certain events which they considered to be abnormal, primarily the use of Duzenlemesi, or Manipulation. Most Duzenlemesi experts reject this term as misguiding and ill-fitting. Duzenlemesi, or Magic, has its origins in the Dominion of Enoch, where it is a common occurrence. It is also common in the Dominion of Lilith. However, magic rarely occurs in Noah’s Dominion. Duzenlemesists – “Magicians” – can manipulate their surroundings using their minds. Such manipulation requires (a) faith the size of a mustard seed, (b) physical strength equal or exceeding the manipulation, (c) mental strength equal or exceeding the manipulation and (d) a line of sight with the object(s) being manipulated. Contrary to the opinions of most Noahites, the primary use of Duzenlemesi is not combative. Rather, Duzenlemesists have found that it has better uses in the areas of life improvement. Since Duzenlemesi is not affected by distance, objects could be transported without an individual having to leave his chair. Fires could be started with ease. Animals could be hunted from a distance. With enough strength, a person could even manipulate the air enabling him or her to fly. Prior to the destruction of the Gateways during the Great Deluge, Duzenlemesi was also common on Earth. However, after the Flood, contact between the Dominion of Noah and the other dominions became rare. Whenever Duzenlemesi was brought over through the Gateways, it was usually in the form of conquest, prompting King Sigismud of Hungry to form the Order of the Dragon in AD 1408. Bound by devotion to God, honor and Dominion, the Order was dedicated to guarding the Gateways from invasion and preventing the spread of Duzenlemesi on Earth. It was generally believed by contemporary theologians that Duzenlemesi was demonic in nature. While some argued that it was simply used by the devil even though it had its origins in God, it is clear that the use of Manipulation, at least in Noah’s Dominion, always had dire effects. Because of its rarity, the use of Duzenlemesi greatly upset the balance of power. Many Noahites who used Duzenlemesi were considered gods and subsequently stole glory from the living God. Almost all Noahite Duzenlemesists used the abilities to gain power and personal glory. The origins and morality of Duzenlemesi are still debated. | |

| Cool concept. One thing. If your target audience are English speakers and Duzenlemesi is a major element in your book, I would strongly advise further adapting the Turkish word so that it's a little less tricky. I'm fairly comfortable with foreign-looking words, but if I was reading a book where every other page I was tripping over Duzenlemesi and Duzenlemesists, I would probably give up on it. My opinion means nothing on the grand scheme of things, but if you took out the final "i" and left it Duzenlemes and it's practitioners as Duzenlemists it would, at least to me, be a little easier to read over without hitting a speed bump. Just my thoughts. Otherwise, good job. In Christ, Jordan | |

| Thanks you for your comment . That's a good point. I'm thinking about taking out the 'l' too, as that's a bit of tricky letter combination. | |
