Post subject:  Character Interview: Hefard

Hefard is a Beljurian (human kingdom) technician. He is already fifty-seven and has fifteen children, eleven of them are in Dajîl, and the other four are in Beljur. Hefard loves words because he never was able to have a proper education. Hefard stretches his vocabulary by using difficile words every day and even in a normal occasion that it became his natural tongue, but when a quest team was lost he stopped using hard words as a sign of regret, regret of not coming to the questers’ aid.

Hefard sometimes feel superior because of his Beljurian blood (which causes the Beljurians to be taller than 6 feet, but every now and then there are two story high Beljurians). He creates different types of technology, sometimes for his kingdom or for Dajîl.

Because of the distance between the two kingdoms, Hefard’s family isn’t that close and it is quite a treat when Hefard visits his children.Hefard is married to Xafectuj; and their children are (not according to age [first nine are males last six are females]):

Vijante, Müntipëd, Giadvalg, Vöurgri, Debraeg, Ledxezk, Kreÿtel, Mruéve, Yeghig, Infendî, Xivenel, Reiánli, Eminfeg, Wicjope, and Oinviril
Hefard was supposed to be one of the thirty kings, except he declined the offer to do what he loved.

So Hefard went to Dajîl with his wife Xafectuj and other Beljurians, and they immediately began their research for better technology, one that used less of the natural resources.

Hefard believes that everyone must have second chances, although if death or war is involved he doesn’t follow his second chances belief. Hefard values loyalty above anything else. Loyalty could be a good thing, but sometimes Hefard is willing to keep his loyalties straight, if that includes lying to protect his friends or to kill someone for the sake of the person.

Is he happily married? Does he wish he had been king? What's his least favorite food? Does he fear anything?

What would he change about his life?

Does he enjoy having so many children?

Yes he is.

Lady Abigail Mimetes wrote:

No, he likes his job better.

Lady Abigail Mimetes wrote:

Hefard loves all types of foods although he doesn't really like fish.

Lady Abigail Mimetes wrote:

Water. And his enemies.

Kya Lightwing wrote:

His quick thinking brain. Hefard usually thinks faster than normal that he can guess what will happen before it is done, causing enemies.

Kya Lightwing wrote:

Yes, he enjoys his kids, although he puts his work above his family.

If his loyalty and his belief in second chances clashed, which would he choose?

What is his greatest desire?

Does he have any secrets he would never tell a soul?

Loyalty.

To fulfill one of his greatest friends dreams. To finish all that was supposed to be created.

Yes, he has quite a few.

Why didn't he help the questers? Does he encounter those kinds of people often? Does he help other questers now (or would he, if he ever encountered them?)

What is his home like? Does he like it that way? Does his wife like it that way? Is his wife interested in inventing as well?

Without going too deeply into my story, Hefard didn't help the Questers because he had no idea that they already arrived to their final destination.

(For the next two quetions I have to set a foundation first. Questers are a special group of six, and there are no other Questers aside from them)

Gwendolyn wrote:

No because none followed the Questers.

Gwendolyn wrote:

No.

Gwendolyn wrote:

It is like a viking house, except modern, it has large windows at the ceilings, a room where he and his wife sleep. (the children build their own houses in different places.)

Gwendolyn wrote:
Does he like it that way?
Yes, Hefard does because he loves the heat; and Beljur is a mountain kingdom of snow.

Gwendolyn wrote:
Does his wife like it that way?
Yes, because Hefard likes it. Although she loves the mountains she learns to adapt.

Gwendolyn wrote:
Is his wife interested in inventing as well?
No, although she cooks great.

Does he have a favorite or favorites among his children? What does he think of that problem?

What is his motivation behind working on technology that uses less of natural resources? Does he do it because he believes it is good, or just because he is payed for it?

Does he have any enemies? How does he deal with opposition?

Debraeg from the men because he inherited Hefard's genius mind. Reiánli because she is timid and initiative.

Mistress Rwebhu Kidh wrote:

Hefard understands that his children might have a jealousy among themselves, so he sets time (a date, a week, a month, a quar) to have a special time with his children.

Mistress Rwebhu Kidh wrote:

That Rhins would be proud of Hefard's work(s).

Mistress Rwebhu Kidh wrote:
Does he do it because he believes it is good, or just because he is payed for it?
Both. Rhins had taught his three closest friends (which included Hefard) about the essence of nature, its value, that Hefard joined Rhins in the org. Hefard is paid in a big amount from Dajîl, once his work is sent to most of the friendly kingdoms.

Mistress Rwebhu Kidh wrote:
Does he have any enemies?
Yes, many other great minds of Dajîl, even other kingdoms' 'minds'.

Mistress Rwebhu Kidh wrote:

Pretty much with paranoia. He believes that his enemies will try to assassinate him, but other than that he tries to be friendly.
