To all poets and future poets of Holy Worlds: Welcome! I find that this corner of the forum is sadly lacking in topics and discussion. Therefore, I am making this thread to encourage fellow poem lovers to post their rhymes and riddles and such. You may also comment on other's poetry, encourage them in their endeavors, and help them improve. I shall begin with one of my humble attempt at a sonnet. Let their be a discussion! The sun has set the world is deep in sleep When from the east comes forth the night's great light She sheds her glow on those that she doth keep Beneath her watchful gaze throughout the night Soon at horizon light begins to gleam Her lord, the sun, is rising bright and strong The graceful lady bows her head to him And sets with night that which to her belongs Where does the lady's light originate? 'Tis not her own nor will it ever be 'Tis from her sun whom she doth imitate And by his light alone so bright is she Lord, teach me to be like the loving moon And use myself to shine thy light alone. ~Lady Eliana |

Actually, we have a place for poetry in the Fireside next to short stories and such. Poetry. You'll find lots of poems there. |

Thank you, I just discovered that! That would explain the absence of any poetry here. I have much to learn.... |
