The Laethar (pronounced lay-thar) are the enemies of the other destroying races. In essence, the destroy the destroying races.

The Laethars’ eyes are usually deep black with a red glint, but they can change colour at will. Their noses are long, thin, and slightly curved, while their mouths are long, full, and a deep red colour. The Laethars’ faces are long and oval. Their ears are flat against their heads. The females’ hair is mid-back length, while the males’ is regular. Their hair is usually straight, and is raven black, with hints of red. It can also change colour at will. The Laethars' bodies are extremely tall and pale, and their strength is hidden. They can change at will.

The female Laethars’ clothing is made out of a black fabric with hints of red. It is comprised of a long, flowing, waist-less dress. The males’ clothing is also made out of a black fabric with hints of red. It is comprised of a tunic and pants.

The Laethars’ speech is lighting swift and often has a hidden meaning. Their movements are lighting swift and smooth.

Laethar are evil, cruel, obsessive, highly impatient, and demanding. They have a one-track mind. Laethar are hasty and loud.

Laethar like black, red, night, dark, fire, smoke, mist, and storms. They dislike white, blue, day, light, water, and sunlight.

A mixture of strawberry dart frog poison, carnelian, and shakudo is beneficial for their health. A mixture of blue poison dart frog poison, peridot, and shibuichi can be damaging and/or lethal, but all three substances are rare in Saemyr.

Laethar can be subdivided into three sub-races: Marhion destroying, Woydin destroying, and Felliaid destroying. I won’t get into them now, but if you’re interested…maybe in the future!

The things I have outlined here are what is usually the case. It is possible for Laethar to differ from this description. Those who do are either adored or shunned. If you have any questions about why I made them a certain way, ask away! It will help me to solidify them.

And that's all, folks! That's the extent of my races. :D

Wow...I'd say you win the prize for 'most-developed races and sub-races'. :D Definitely. Anyways, now I want to read the story that goes behind this. :D

So do I! :P It will be a long time before I can start. Basically, it's about a female sylph that turns into a Marhion. At first she doesn't really care about the change (except for the fact she has to leave her family), and enters wholeheartedly into the destruction. When she finally realizes what she's doing, she doesn't want to be a Marhion anymore, but because she can't undo it herself, she must rely on Elshaddai to change her. (Elshaddai is my God-character. I chose it because I really like the meaning (El-shaddai: God who is sufficient for the needs of His people))

I would have to agree. I am assuming that your Satan character made the destroying races, so why would he destroy his own races? How do things change into destroying races and do destroying races reproduce or do they rely on changes from other races?

Thanks!

Each member of the destroying races started as a member of the race group that it destroys (i.e. a Marhion could have originally been a sylph). As they got into their teenage years, they would change into a member of the destroying races. The destroying races do not reproduce. New members are supplied from the other races.

Not quite. One of the effects of the Fall was the recessive destroying race gene.

Okay, so the races pretty much don't have a choice in becoming evil? And would Laethar come from other destroying races?
