Well, we are developing our world, and now we have some creatures in it. Here's one of them.

As the title suggests, they are like Zebras. They have orange and black stripes, with flaming eyes. They can change shape, making themselves look like different creatures. They can ignite things by touching them.

EDIT: We named them Derkers

That's all we know at the moment. We'll let you know when there's more. :)

By the way, this creature and the others that we will be talking about were dreamed up by my brother, Josiah.

That sounds pretty cool! I like the fact that they can morph themselves into other animals.

 Wow. They sound REALLY interesting, and extremely original. :) Are they sentient?

Yes, they are sentient. (Did you get that word from Jay?)

Lol. No, I didn't get that word from Jay. I found it in a thesaurus a couple years ago and loved it. ;)

So are these zebras kind of like a Mushussu? And are they inherently good, bad, or neither?

They sound really interesting. You could call them fire-horses. (That's still not very imaginative, though.)

Um... I'm not sure what a "Mushussu" is. Did I miss something? :?

They are inherently bad, apparently. :)

And we have a name! We are thinking of calling them "Derkers". (Cheryl [another of my siblings] made that up...)

A Mushussu is a type of dragon. Everyone knows that! :D Actually, I just looked it up on Google.

LOL! Jay beat me to it, but yes, that's what a Musshussu is. They're Persian in origin, and sounded kind of similar.;)

Thank you, Jay. Very kind of you. ;) (That would be half serious, and half teasing.)

Alrighty. Is there a particular tribe who deals with them?

Um... we don't have tribes yet. :) So no.

Wait, news flash. They are their own tribe. :D They deal with other tribes. (I am trying to type what Josiah tells me.)

Ah. That makes sense. How does their wildness work with their sapience in their culture?

Well, they are wild in the sense that they are not tamed and they live in the wild. :) So they can still be smart... or something like that. :)

(Josiah would like you to rephrase your question [unless we already answered it to your satisfaction]. We were not sure exactly how to answer it.)

More information about the Derkers:

They are mostly solitary by nature, but will band together for war.

They will fight if there is a chance... they are not much for running away. They are rather violent.

When they morph into other creatures, their eyes stay the same. (They look like they are flaming inside.)

They are very hard to kill, so there are only a few ways that they can die.
One of the creatures that can kill them are Unicorns (with their horns). More on the Unicorns later. Also, upon falling into water, they will perish.

We might have more later...

(We being Josiah and I, of course... I type, he talks.)

If they die when they fall in water, what happens if you throw water on them?

It hurts them, but they don't die. It is the equivalent of our burn. The more water that comes in contact with them, the more it hurts them. So if they are fully submerged, they die.
