We may have tried that a while back, I'm not sure how it went though. Of course there's nothing stopping us from doing again.
But what sort of novel were you thinking?

This not really a contest but, what if HW members wrote a book together? We could split up in teams, 5 people in each one. We would have to organize everything or it could get confusing but, what does everyone think of this idea? |

Something fantasy  . As for the story I was thinking if other people liked the idea, we could figure it out together.

We were actually working on a community story a while back (Triterrus), but there's been no significant progress for a long time for reasons stated here. You're welcome to get a few people together to work on a story if you'd like, but you're probably not going to get too large of a group. |

Hmm... originally I was thinking just a book but, a world with lots of stories is better! OK, I'll be prepared for disappointment . I think if we go about it in orderly fashion it could (just maybe ) work.

I think it's easier to write a community story than a community world. Although I have little experience with a community world, since world-building is non-linear, it seems like it would take more effort to get everyone together. A community story, though, since it's usually linear, can very easily be done if you have people just posting half-chapter length sections to continue the story... |

That's true... does seem like it would be easier. I just think it will turn into a world anyways (languages, races, geography etc.) |
