LAWS

Selentae:
The Selentae have no official laws, if any Selentae have issue with another Selentae; they will stand before their monarch and hold trial. If the court finds the one being held trial guilty; the court will set forth punishment that coincides with the crime. The Selentae hardly ever enforce capital punishment. The usual penalty is being held in the vines of the Ekhor tree for a certain amount of time. (the time spent in the vines are fit to how much fault was in the crime. Another punishment is cutting the hair of the offender and branding his/her head. For minor crimes the criminal’s head is put in a stock and is publicly displayed throughout up to three days.
Thonack:
The Thonack have soldiers going throughout the streets of each town, the soldiers work as law enforcers. If they see anything unruly or wrong they will publicly enforce the punishment. Most punishment is whipping, severing of the limbs, branding, beating, or most of the time; death.
Kylon:
The Kylon inhabitants seldom act unruly, but if they do; they are called to the Kylon jurisdiction and are held trial. The Kylon do not ever physically harm the offender, the usual penalty is banishment for the more serious crimes, being held in a single room for a certain amount of time, (the time spent in the room coincides with the severity of the crime), or being set free with your hands tide in binders so you can not use them for great lengths of times.

(I also need the Helvorr laws, but I am in the process of making them)

I like the law enforcement for the Thonack; makes me think of them as a brutal and ruthless race. Just one question: do Thonack usually tend to abide by the law because of the harsh penalties or do they disregard it and suffer death? And the Kylon...how do they survive with their hands tied? How do they eat/drink, etc? Are the judgments usually pretty just or pretty corrupt?

Yeah they are too afraid to get punished to disobey the law, but they also do disregard it, so its like so and so.

They survive, or the Kylon would not carry out the punishment. they will have to eat without their hands, and normally the friends or family of the Kylon will sometimes help him/her on occasions.

What I meant by the last one is are the judgments usually well-placed? Does the person who gets punished really deserve it or is it a corrupt system where innocent people are banished?

With the Thonack the punishments are quite harsh, no matter what they do
they do not deserve what they get.

Selentae are very just and good, they always carry out punishment that coincides with the crime.

Same with the Kylon, they are good too.
