| A qaban kişilər is a man who can transform into a boar. In boar form, they possess certain human characteristics, such as the ability to speak. In human form, they obtain boar characteristics such as the brown fur and the tusks. How they obtained the cursed ability to transform into a boar, few know. The theory is that they are the turnout of one of Abbadon's attempts to copy Yeshua's creation. *Unlike the úlfur maður, they cannot walk on hind legs in animal form. | |

| How long do these guys live? Uh, brown fur meaning all over? That would be weird to walk up to a guy covered in fur... Do they act differently as boar than as a human? | |

That really did make me laugh out loud . I certainly wouldn't want to meet one of these guys in a dark alley. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that their name means something like boar-man or man-boar. Am I right ?

| Griffin wrote: How long do these guys live? Uh, brown fur meaning all over? That would be weird to walk up to a guy covered in fur... Do they act differently as boar than as a human? They live for about 200 years. Brown fur on their heads (normal) and their backs (not normal) only. They are not as smart as a normal human (what a nice drawback), but yes, they act the same unless they want to blend in. In that case, they will act like a normal human or boar. "Boar men" in some language that would be hard to recognize in any of the modern cities, I think. | |

| cool idea, I had a similar one in my first book where God's punishment for sin was (one of them besides death, Hell, etc) humans taking animal form, but still having the human consciousness. How freely can they change between human and boar? Is there a balance like too much changing makes them sick or something? What if they get hurt as a boar, is that wound transferred to the human equivalent? If the wound is too severe are they prohibited from changing? | |

They can change as freely as you can think, but if they do it a lot of times in a small span of time, they will start puking and yelling in pain for over an hour. If they get hurt in one form, it is transferred to the other form in equal severity. The answer to the last question varies from clan to clan (though they are not group creatures, they still all belong under one Clanmaster or another).
