They are not all fully "Evolved" if you will, but still Ulia: The Most common race, the Ulia our found everywhere, five foot four is the normal height of a grown man, they dwell in cities or villages, there are three cities or villages controlled by one city, in this city there is a small castle, in the castle a noblemen, and each noblemen attends the counsel of Orgnomia, where each noblemen discusses how to control each city, if they do not obey the rules set before them, there kingdom is taken away, this rarely happens, but when it does there is not much struggle. For the noblemen are too self absorbed in spending their Gerehs (money, gold, ect.) on entertainment and food, then on soldiers and weapons. Elves: This race is famed for its art, the Elves are not much fighters but are very magical, they tend to live in forests away from other creatures, they prefer to be left alone. Moreover, with a usual height of 6’1 this race puts to shame the shortness of the Ulia and sometimes mocks them, though they are the most peaceful race. The Elves live under a Queen, a King, and their counselors, who go under the name of The Royal Guidance. Faries: This friendly yet mischievous race Lives beyond the mountains of Gorgo, the fairies know your intentions so deception is not a viable option. Being a small race of nearly five inches tall they are sometimes kept as pets, but they are quite intelligent and sometimes outsmart the Ulia, they live in control of one matriarch. And There are bad dudes that are called Salkens, all I got for them is that they are tall derranged looking things. (but I don't know much about them still) |

Um, you assign your races a very specific height for average. I was just thinking that was a little weird since no one could really do that for humans. Quote: there are three cities or villages controlled by one city, in this city there is a small castle, in the castle a noblemen, and each noblemen attends the counsel of Orgnomia, This was a little unclear, I think you are saying that there are different kingdoms that are all three towns or cities controlled by one nobleman in a different city? The way you said sounded like there were only four cities in the kingdom. I'm assuming the Orgnomia is the king. Can the noblemen never extend their kingdom beyond four cities? Quote: if they do not obey the rules set before them, there kingdom is taken away, this rarely happens, but when it does there is not much struggle. For the noblemen are too self absorbed in spending their Gerehs (money, gold, ect.) on entertainment and food, then on soldiers and weapons. How could they spend money on things if their property is taken away? And why would they need soldiers if they aren't going to be aggressive? Besides that, all of your races sound good. Do the faeries have wings? I liked the part about the Ulia underestimating them. |

The average height is just somewhere around there, not exactly that height, just near it. They can probably vary a half foot taller or shorter. This kind of gets messy here; there are lots of "kingdoms" controlled by noblemen, in each "Kingdom" there are normally three cities. Those three cities in the "kingdom" are controlled by the noblemen that lives in the capital of the three cities (the capitol is one of the three cities). There isn't really a king of anything, but every noblemen attends a meeting; the council of Orgnomia, where every noblemen discusses how to run their "kingdom." (See, I told you it was messy.) By the way; Orgnomia is a city outside of a "kingdom" it is ruled by its own noblemen. And also by the way; each city has a supervisor that does the nobleman's bidding and takes care of the cities while he is away. Your second to last question confuses me. When the noblemen controlling their "kingdoms" do something that the other noblemen at the council of Orgnomia thinks is wrong, they will take away their "kingdom" and put in another nobleman in his place. And they could not resist their "kingdom" being taken away because they have no soldiers. They have no soldiers because they spend all their money on other stuff. Yeah, I think they have wings, me too! I hope that answers your questions! Moderator's Note: Corrected spelling and capitalization errors |

Okay, that clears up most everything. On the question you found hard to answer, I think it was because I misunderstood what you were saying. The way you say this makes it sound like all the noblemen are corrupt, if they spend all the taxes(I'm assuming that's how they get their money) on food instead of using them to improve roads, help the poor, etc. what a ruler should do. To me what makes a bad ruler is one who neglects the people, and to your description, that's what their doing(self absorbed). So are you saying that the whole system is corrupt? Other than that, I think that what you've got is pretty good. Is this for a book or a short story, or is it just something you've got on the shelf? |

Quote: Are the Ulia humans? And if not what makes them different from them? Plus utilizing my great and mighty powers as Marcher Lord I demand you to tell me more about the Skalens (I already like em and you only said about one sentence). 1: It isn't Skalens (though that is a cool name) its Salkens. 2: Yeah the Ulia are pretty much like humans, except they are a tad shorter. 3: Sorry about the vague descriptions, I kinda jumped right into this book, without thinking, so as I said they are still being ''evolved.'' Quote: The way you say this makes it sound like all the noblemen are corrupt, if they spend all the taxes(I'm assuming that's how they get their money) on food instead of using them to improve roads, help the poor, etc. what a ruler should do. Yeah basically most noblemen are corrupt, some help the poor build roads high-en society etcetera... But most don't. The noblemen still take care of there people though, save few. Quote: Other than that, I think that what you've got is pretty good. Is this for a book or a short story, or is it just something you've got on the shelf? I am writing in as a book, kind of, I am like fifty pages through but right now I am stopping to try to form it more. Does that cover all the questions? |
