The island of Eldoth is an excellent setting for stories. :book:

How did the Fae survive the Flood?

Is it safe to assume that Eldoth is somewhere off the coasts of France or Spain, then?

The Fae didn't, they are decendents of Noah. They just haven't lost their lifespan.

Ah, now I understand. I got confused over the "another elder kindred of man, a remnant of the world before the Flood" part.

Bit further north then that. On lattitude with Scotland actually.

Have you thought about the norse historical influences, then? There's definitely going to be Danish incursions throughout your history.

Well in actuality I have taken mostly celtic influences actualy, and then later english ones. My guess is the island's location is west of Ireland, but a bit further north.

That would make the island open to viking and Danish attacks, but it occurs to me that a combination of Faeries and demonic monsters might make the island a commonly avoided place, viking superstitions being what they were.

So how often do normal humans get there and end up staying there?

Under the leadership of their High King Lugh, they routed the Formorians from Eldoth, and drove them to the wild Northlands of the island. Lugh himself slew their great King Balor, and took his monstrous eye as grisly trophy of his victory.

Original :P ;)
Just kidding :) I think you've got a very creative start, there. But pray tell, what made you decide to turn your fantasy world into a tiny island?
