Howdy, it's the newbie Dawnbringer here with a fun adventure. In short I am starting up this RPG forum to run an adventure through the lands of Ska'Lah'Seh. I will introduce my character and the overarching scenario. As you introduce your own characters (For Ska'Lah'Seh or your own worlds we will explain it off Narnia style) and even special scenarios based on your character.

Races from Ska'Lah'Seh can be seen here: viewtopic.php?f=143&t=5547

Overarching Problem my character Lyr'Ous has been assigned to travel to the western wasteland and slay the lord of the west. However he can not do it alone and will need your help!

Lyr'Ous- A devout follower of the Faith (The Church) Lyr'Ous is a skilled Shaper (Ska'Lah'Seh Equivalent to a "Mage") and charismatic Shepperd (Preacher). Lyr'Ous has a boisterous personality and there are only a small number of things Lyr'Ous fears.

We set the stage at a small Inn on the Isle Of Faith a land where buildings are made from trees and other natural things. This is also the capital of the Faith and homeland to the Mon'An of the Tar'ran (Land bound) Court's Mon'An (spirit men) (Elves with wings).

Also here's a list of classes to help, I'll add any if you like.

Fighter- Pretty self explanatory specializes to be a Warrior or champion.
Warrior- The name said it all.

Champion- A Holy protector of the weak and innocent.

Trickster- A "Rouge" Specializes to be a gadgeteer or ranger.

Gadgeteer- An Ingenious user of modern (Renascence era) Devices.

Ranger- A woodland warrior with an animal companion.

Shaper- A "Mage" can specialize to be a Arcanist or Primalist.

Arcanist- A user of Protective wards and powerful telekinetic powers.

Primalist- A user of Natural healing and elemental powers.

Okay, I'm not sure what you mean...are we doing a sort of forum rpg adventure right here on this thread? Or are we just sort of introducing characters? Or are we introducing characters for an RPG adventure here on this thread?
I'm guessing the answer to that last question is yes.

So, assuming that, I then ask: did you say that I can use a character from my world to participate in this scenario?
And what do you mean by explaining it Narnia style, do you mean this is how someone from another fantasy world would reach Ska'Lah'Seh?

Okay, I've introduced my character here.

I'll attempt to introduce my character to your setting now, I am new at this:

*Lecan appears in a flash of light and warped time and space, falling to the floor in human form and rolling forward to his feet, standing hunched in Wolfman shape.
Looks slowly about the room, focusing on Lyr'Ous, growls ominously, suspicion bubbling from his throat*

Lecan: "Who are you and how did I come to be here!?"

Me: How was that for opening up?

Lyr'Ous- Um... Hi. My name is Lyr'Ous and I have no Idea how you got here want a mug? (Lifts up a mug of water).

I Was wondering if you wanted to do a Wol'V'An for this? I'm fine with whatever just thought you might like it.

Lecan: .... :? :/  *Closes eyes for a moment in prayer or receiving revelation* *Says reluctantly "...Yes, thank you." Accepts mug, sets it down on a table and changes back to human form for more convenient head shape in order to drink. Drinks deeply*

"Did you call me here? Are we still in Vadra?*"

*Vadra is the name of my fantasy world, where Lecan lives.

Those sound neat! But Lecan is different. But I think that would be a good way to disguise my character from those that would question his origins...he would have to be careful not to do too much that Wol'V'An can't do. Does that sound good?

Ly'Ous- Realy I have no clue how you got here. However I can tell you we are on the Isle of the Faith in the middle sea of Ska'Lah'Seh. Any of that sound familiar?

(Wol'V'AN can turn into almost any animal. They actually have wolf ears and tails in human form too. From what I gathered your dude wouldn't pass as Wol'V'AN. forget I said anything about it.)

Lecan: ....No. I believe this must be a world other than my own...or at least a far corner of it that I have never heard of at all. But I feel that I am to help someone here, I fell asleep a newly wed man, uncomfortable with the knowledge that I must grow much before I will be ready to raise my family...I think... :? I think God maybe brought me here to help someone, and prepare me for the tasks that lay before me in the world I'm from... :/ *sits at table and holds head in hands, pondering (or, similar, suffering a headache)*

Okay that's fine. Lecan can just try to stay in human form unless necessary. ;)

Lyr'Ous- Perhaps he has? If that is true I think I have just the journey for you! You see in the far west of this great continent lies a traitorous wasteland filled with Dea'Mon and other foul sorts I am on a journey to defeat a particular Dea'Mon the Lord of the West while normally I can handle myself this fiend is surely a dangerous thing. (lifts up his bangs to show you the scared left side of his face two scares one going from above his eyebrow down to the middle of his cheek over his eye the other is smaller and wraps from the outside of his eye down cross the other scar below his eye. His eye itself is faded and void of any color except white.) And that's not the end of it, those scars are all around my body. Its as if that thing threw me into an Imperial harvester. Its bad news. You game?

Lyr'Ous- (We finish our preperations and are looking around the pier for a ship captain.) We will need a ship headed to the imperial city of Lionguard in the NORTHEAST.

Lyr'Ous- Look for any ship with the letters I.C. on it. That means it works with the Imperial company. Which means it will take us in the correct direction.

Lyr'Ous- (Seemingly unfazed by Lecan's transformation) You think? Lets go check it out. (A number of people are trying to ovoid Lecan however they do not seem more then wary)

*Our characters walk over to the ship*

Lecan: *transforms back into human form as they walk* Why are people staring at me?

( )

Me: By the way, I forgot to add something to my character's introduction. I've added it now, but here's the part I added so you don't have to reread the whole thing: "As a WereWolf, he has mixed audio abilities, he can emit a sonic blast in any form (but it is most powerful in the wolfman shape) that can pretty much shove someone back, and he can channel sound so that it travels farther (and louder!) in the direction he is "aiming" it, and he can deafen people."

Maybe its because you wolfed out in the middle of the docks?

(A young white haired woman with lupine ears and a tale passes by and waves to Lyr'Ous and as Lyr'Ous waves back she turns into a liquid and then reforms as a wolf. No one seems to notice as she runs off in the direction of the city.)

Me in your opinion should I only let Wol'Van Take wolf form or should I l;eave them with the ability to take any animal form.

I think they're cool the way you have them, I suppose it could make more sense if they could only return to their old wolf form, but I don't mind at all if you leave them. Do whatever you want with them! :?

Captain- (He seems to be a fairly old man) Their is no need to shout Youngster now what exactly do you two whippersnappers need?

Lyr'Ous- we are on our way to LionGuard, however anywhere south of that direction may put us closer to our true target.

Captain- I can do LionGuard. However I ain't taking on any passengers. Crew however is a different story. If you have any skill and are willing to carry your own weight I'll take you on as temp. crew.

Lyr'Ous- I'm Good you Lecan?

Captain- Lek'An? Who names there son Lucky Man?

Me: That's the Old Tongue shinning through sorry I had to.

Lecan: I will do what I can. *is ruffled by the captain's misuse of his name* My name means "son of Lycanis" or that's what we take it to mean, and you'd do well to agree with me on it's meaning! *glares at Captain*

Captain- (sizes Lecan up) you'd do best not to speak to your elders in that tongue. I am the captain of this vessal and I say who stays and who goes. However I will try and remember your name son of sea fungi.

Me- since lycanthropes don't exist in ska'lah'seh he assumes lecan ment lychan.

Lyr'Ous- What is that?

(Lyr'Ous points to a small shape forming on the horizon)

Lyr'Ous- Maybe their shipwrecked on a tiny island?

(the Ship is clearly sailing closer)

Me- Sorry I had to. No really I had to! Its a plot point!

Lecan: That's it, I see the ship now. *loosens a dull-ironish looking ring on his ring finger*

 That's ok, I just didn't know really what to have him see, he really can see really well in that shape, so it works it would best represent him if there is a tiny island. :dieshappy:

Lyr'Ous- Don't worry it happens to the best of us! I once mistook a rock for an oasis!

Me- He could just still be sea sick it is not uncommon for sailors to see mirages that look like land in the sea rather than water in the dessert.

Lecan: Somehow, that doesn't give me much comfort...

Me: I think by this time he would have gotten more used to being at sea. *shrugs*

Lyr'Ous You know I think I see it know behind the ship? (Lyr'Ous is straining his eyes grabs the captain's Telescope) Well shiver me timbers their it is right behind the ship! Must be their port of origin!

Captain- (snatches the telescope back and glares at Lyr'Ous.)

(Cannons start firing off)

Me- figure you're right no sense making anyone look bad except for Mr. Short attention span.

Lecan:  Uh, Lyr'Ous, what is that black stuff next to you?

Me: Lecan doesn't know about black powder because it doesn't exist (at least not in the same form) in my world, but I guess he knew it might be a problem from seeing them using it in the cannons?

Lecan: What can I do? They're getting closer...

Lyr'Ous- Looks at the white poweder (Gunpowder ios made of quintessence in Ska'Lah'Seh Black powder is to volatile forgot to tell you) Fire goes out! Thanks for that! Just man a cannon I'm sure one of the crew will show you the ropes. I'm going to find a place on the ship that's a little less explosive!

Lecan: *nods, and then looks questioningly at one of the cannons nearby, a crew member gestures at him*
Crew member: Come over here, we need an extra hand at this cannon!
Lecan: *strides over to cannon and crewmember* What do I need to do?

Lecan: *grasps rod in similar fashion to what he'd seen from other cannon handlers* Yes, I'm ready.
Scab: *puts round in*
Lecan: *starts slamming the rod lengthwise into the round, shoving it in*

Lecan: *nods and covers ears*
Cannon: Boom! *round splashes in water near enemy ship*

Me: If I ever "go too far" or specify a detail that you don't want in the story, just let me know and I can go back and edit it out and we'll just pretend it didn't happen. :dieshappy:
