| No, this is not an essence map of a character. It is actually an essence map I made for my username. Weird huh? Well, just to make it weirder, I embedded a song. Jay has posted a song or two in the past to convey essence of something, so I decided to splice mine into an essence map. I did have 2 videos embedded, but the picture on the first one seemed to interrupt the flow of the map so I just linked to it instead. The second one I left because the video itself is the essence of the song, which is the essence I was trying to capture. Let me know what yall think. Soul{ Depth[ <August Rush> <a raven’s flight> Purity( <angel wings> <light reflected> <a broken cry>) <a cry on the wind>] Perception[ Insight( <artist’s eyes> <eye of dawn> <Blind man’s sense of hearing> <a poet>) Revelation( <a well of visions> <monarch butterfly>)] Longing[ Intensity( <an arrow in the shoulder> <the pain of a scorpion’s sting>) Depth( <Someday> <a seagull’s flight> <the waves’ call>)] Regret[ <a lover’s tears> <> Color( <Indian paintbrush> <stained dress> <heart shade>) Sorrow( <shadows over the sun>)]} In Christ, Jordan | |

| Actually, as far as essence maps go, it's a bit sparse in my opinion. But thanks. | |

| Doesn't HAVE to be characters, I have no characters and still manage to put out essence maps aplenty. | |

| Very skilled handling of the syntax there! I love the structure and the beauty of the well chosen and placed elements. I can't watch the videos (bandwidth is running out), but that still shot helped. Keep going! | |

| My new avatar was built off of this essence map. Did it work? Or do you think it conveys a different meta-essence? | |

| I finally got to watch the video. You caught a ton of the essence powerfully, very powerfully. But I think you missed the concept of release and forgiveness, as well as the burden of sin that is in there. It is tougher to represent concrete things like that in an ECSS, but it is possible. Just a note. As for the avatar (hope I'm not being to harsh or anything), I think it is a bit too cluttered. Essences in images are best kept simple, with one or two main things, with more balance between them. And it is a bit too rosy, methinks. Not sure. Anyways, there is my feedback. Hope you aren't mad at me now, haha. | |

This essence wasn't built on the video, I just thought the video went along nicely with the overall essence I was trying to communicate. Not sure.Hmm...have you seen Mama Raven's work, she manages to nicely work several elements in at once. Not that I'm claiming to be anywhere near her skill level. I had a simpler version with just the eye and the background and the seagull, but it didn't seem to capture any of this essence at all. But I think as a "Seer" avatar, the current form works nicely, so it works. Probably has to do with my meta-essence for Seer changing since this map was first made. | |

| Ah yes, sorry, I misunderstood. It is great then. Yes, I have. Though you will notice that with hers, the objects are grouped around one central feature (or just in a ring around nothing more or less). | |
