I've made a character for my fantasy novel but he needs some development... I'm going to guess that this is a decent spot to do it. :)

Name: Nikki
Gender: Male
Species: Valloian (dragon)
Age: 16
Height: 5'6"
Build: Rather skinny, skin and bones. Long but not broad wingspan. Think of a seabird.
Hair: Has short blue and green quills from top of head to tail tip.
Appearence: He is a deep red color with blind, silver eyes. His wings and arms are the same limb. Instead of just a wing claw, there is a hand.
Personality: Why don't I just introduce him? This is getting boring anyway. :rofl:

Nikki: So, is it time yet?

Me: Soon. All we have to do is wait. Which from what I hear you're very good at.

Nikki: *waves wing* Of course. How else do I survive Zip? The little rascal has me running for my money!

Me: *laughs*

Nikki: Oh what now? You laugh at my torture?

Me: Don't be so naive. I have a bigger rascal at my place so quit complaining.

Nikki: Make me. :twisted:

Me: Oh? A challenge? I'd normally not, but I accept. *grabs nearest object and throws it at Nikki*

Nikki: *ducks* *wags finger* That's not very lady-like!

Me: Teasing a lady isn't very gentlemenly either. *grins*

Nikki: Touche.

So, you can interact with him all you can. I'm sure he's willing to chat. And just because he's blind doesn't mean he can't see what you're doing!

Me: Yes, he has lots of nicknames. :) And yes... He does snicker a lot. ;)

Me: Uh... Nikki? This isn't exactly Facetime...

Nikki: Oh. Of course! I'm a big dragon with HUGE claws and-

Me: Quit scaring him! ==' He's just a human-sized dragon. He looks like a velociraptor with bird legs...

Me: Oh, and wings. Don't forget that there are hands on the wings where the wing claw would be. ;)

Nikki: Nah. I'm no superhero... But I can fly just the same!

Me: *facepalm* This is what I get for having a character that doesn't take anything seriously... Hey NICK!! WHAT kind of work is this? Are you trying to get Nikki possessed or something??? :bawl: :bawl:

Nikki: :roll: She's panicky. So a demon? Cool. So what else can you do?

Me: *pulls out dagger* I've never used this... BUT IN THE NAME OF ELOHIM I SHALL BANISH YOU FROM THIS THREAD!!! *charges* *trips*

Nikki: :rofl: Need help?

Vetis: *spreads his hands in a placating gesture* Relax, Seabird. Nick has my wings clipped, so to speak. I can't cause any real trouble. *To Nikki* Though, if I was free, I could do almost anything I wish.

Me: *sheepish grin* Yeeaah, probably should have mentioned that. Maybe I should hang a sign around his neck, "Warning: Demon". But yeah. He's almost as big a character in his story as the main hero, and he's very complex. So I like to have him meet people.

Me: *nods*

Vetis: *stands, makes as thought to grab and pull something that isn't there. A massive black blade, wreathed in purple flame and etched with demonic runes, appears in his hands. As the blade appears, a faint, distant howling can be heard, as though of a hundred thousand souls in torment, far away* Right here.

Vetis: No. You wouldn't even be able to touch it; you'd burn your hands. Even if you could withstand the fires, you couldn't lift it; you'd dislocate your shoulders first. Even if you could find the strength to lift it, you'd go mad from the dark power within it.

Me: Meh. I personally like Inkspell the best. I think this one drags on a bit too much if you ask me. But it's a decent read anyway.

Nikki: Dark powers? Wait... That sounds a lot like the sorcerers that summon Vách... *shudders* Not a very nice bunch.

Me: Well, there's one thing he DOES take seriously. *mumbles* *continues to read on bean bag*

Nikki: What, you reading that again?

Me: *doesn't like to be bothered while reading* Yes.

Nikki: Wouldn't it be cool if you got sucked into my world?

Me: I suppose... Hm... That would be cool. :D

Me: ... Knowing demons enough, I'd find it hard to 'chill'.

Me: I know, but once you read This Present Darkness your perspective of the spiritual will change.

Nikki: I thought you were reading Inkheart.

Me: Let's just remove stereotypes so that I can ENJOY this conversation.

Me: Whoa. Didn't see that one coming. My own personal view on demons is that they are unable to become angels again. But that just makes sense in my world. But I guess your's is a ton brighter.

Me: Well, in the real world they can't, but in his world, they can. The demons were less at fault for becoming demons in this story.

Me: Let's see... Well, I have to make sure that Nikki has a tad more realism... But still a lack of tacking things seriously... Like disciplining his brother. Oh! Just talking out loud.

Nikki: *makes click noise* Oh! Those weren't rabbit ears. Those are horns. :rofl: It's great! The solid material is easy for me to pick up. Great work on the scale texture. :D I'm not much for art. Can't do it. But I can write!
