| We have been reading and watching ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ recently, and I noticed that there’s a thesis and an anti-thesis running through the story plot which makes it really witty and funny. You have Don Pedro, a really good guy with good actions and motives; and you have Don Juan, his brother, who is a bad guy, with bad actions and motives. Then you have Don Pedro and his followers who are being mischievous in a fun way, wanting to bring out good through their plotting; and you have Don Juan and his followers who are being mischievous in a bad way, wanting to do badly to the others with their plotting. Same thing, but totally opposite at the same time. Have you ever used something similar to this in your stories? Is it something you would want to use? I haven’t seen it used in many of the books that I have read, but I think it adds a really interesting twist to the story. | |
