Post subject:  Help Needed for New Project
I'm working on a new novel right now, and I need all the help I can get. I need people to ask questions, poke/prod me, reward me, keep me accountable, and generally help me along. :D

I shall have the full summary up shortly. But here's the basic summary:

Princess of Hearts
Lauren, Alice in Wonderland's niece, needs help. Desperately. She's stuck in Wonderland on her thirteenth birthday. Only the Princess of Hearts, Queen of Hearts' shy daughter, can help her escape the wrath of the Queen. Does the Princess dare go against her mother's wishes?

Lauren tugged on the ropes on either side of her and her tree swing lurched forward. Her fingers curled tightly around the ropes, she was "lost somewhere between the rainbow and the clouds". Locked.
Sighing, she reached into her pocket for her key. She dug into her jeans pocket, but her fingertips didn't feel the familiar cool metal key. What? Hadn't she tucked it right into her pocket when she walked out the door? She must not have. She headed around to the front door.
She turned the doorknob.
It wouldn't give.
What was wrong? She had just heard her mom call her. Hadn't she? Hadn't she? Lauren's mind spun. She flipped up the doormat where they usually kept the extra key.
It wasn't there.

What kind of questions do you want me to ask? Ones about characters, the plot, the theme, the world, or all of the above? :D

Let's see... *thinks*

Will you stick to the world already laid out in Alice in Wonderland, or will you add to it? Has Wonderland changed at all since Alice was there? Will Lauren meet the same people? Will she wander around a lot like Alice, or will she just stick to a couple places? What time period is the book set in (the part not in Wonderland ;) )? Is Alice involved in the story at all? Why is the Queen angry at Lauren? How old is the Princess? Why does she want to help Lauren? How will Lauren's character develop as the story goes on?

And... that's all the questions I can think of at the moment. :D

It's similar, but it has changed. She'll probably meet a couple of the characters (the Cheshire cat included). She'll wander around a lot, as she's very curious. It's modern-time, maybe 2007-ish. :D Alice isn't really involved, only when Lauren returns. The Queen wants to rule over Wonderland, but Lauren doesn't want her to. The Princess is 15. She has a sense of adventure and wants to become more outgoing. Lauren becomes more aware of her surroundings, and more attentive. :D
