In one of my stories there are seven members of a fellowship, each taking on a certain attribute. So far, I have four attributes:

Justice
Vengeance
Mercy
Wisdom

But I need three more to total seven...any ideas?

Do these need to be unique, exhaustive, and distinct?

Somewhat unique. Only exhaustive enough to be well defined. Between to two, they should be distinct enough that each person could stereotypically represent their "abstract" with unique character traits.

Do they need to be all virtues? Can they be stuff like 'impulsive' or do they need to be more dramatic like 'justice'?

Perhaps a brief explanation of the four characters thus far will help you understand.

Justice could be described as the knight in shinning armor. He is recognizable by his gold-tinted clothing. He is sometimes soft spoken, and sometimes almost as wrathful as Vengeance. He must often consult Mercy in matter of judgment, as he struggles with concepts of grace and forgiveness.

Vengeance is not as noble as his brother Justice. He carries out the rulings of his brother Justice, but often can be found on his own self-determined missions. He too struggles with concepts of grace, but being the elder brother, his wisdom helps him better form his decisions.

Mercy is kind, and quite diligent. She is often found gathering money to give to the poor, and pleading for people in Justice's court. However, sometimes she becomes so devoted to the cause of one person that she becomes blind to all other needs of mercy.

Wisdom, the somewhat elderly leader of the seven, bears certain traits of the other six, but combined with many ancient proverbs. He is renowned, not for his knowledge, but for his ability to properly form a correct opinion or make a correct decisions with almost no information to guide him.

So, you see, the others need to be in like kind with these four.

Hmmm... I will have to think on that. Thanks for a fun question!

Hmmmm, the difference between Vengeance and the other three is that vengeance is something which belongs only to God while the other three are something which all of his servants are meant to be.

This is something that boils down to a big debate I don't want in this particular thread. It really boils down to this: In OT law, vengeance is not exactly forbidden, and in the NT, the principle of the melancholy soldier applies. (See my thread about my fantasy-world theology in the theology area.)

Here are my suggestions:

- Loyalty
- Courage
- Knowledge

Knowledge is essentially the same as wisdom (maybe an aspect of it). ;)

How about Passion, Love, Grace, Dignity, Liberty . . .
I had a whole list to share but it just evaporated in my head. Grr. I guess none of mine could be real virtues, I just tossed out the first ones in my head. I'll think on it though! :D

Wisdom and knowledge are two distinct entities, but I think we have enough here now. :)

What about

Hope, Faith, and Love? They aren't original, but they sound kind of neat.:)

Others might be Beauty, Sorrow, Strength, Hate, Anger, Passion, Humility.
