Dryads are the tree/earth people. The dryads’ eyes are usually green or brown. They are a regular size, and slightly slit-like. Their noses are short and thin, while their mouths are long and thin. The dryad’ faces are small and slightly angular. Their ears are small and lie flat against their head. The females’ hair is waist length, while the males’ is short. Their hair is straight and any colour but white or grey. The dryads’ bodies are tall, slim and slightly angular with brownish skin. The female dryads’ clothing is made out of wispy green, brown or black fabric. It is comprised of a loose fitting dress, loosely belted at the waist. The males’ clothing is also green, brown or black, but is a somewhat heavier fabric. It is comprised of a tunic and pants. The dryad’ speech is soft, quiet, and somewhat disjointed. Their movements are slow and slightly jerky. Dryads are easily made to change their mind. They are tender-hearted, patient and kind. They quiet, shy and unassuming. Dryads like warm and wet, green and brown. They have a weakness for plants, birds, and rectangle shaped objects. They dislike cold and dry and fish. They also don’t like purple and white, and gnomes and tiains. Sunshine, water and emeralds are beneficial for their health. However, fire and garnets can be damaging and/or lethal. Dryads can be subdivided into four sub-races: birch, oak, maple and fir. I won’t get into them now, but if you’re interested…maybe in the future! The things I have outlined here are what is usually the case. It is possible for dryads to differ from this description. Those who do are either shunned or adored, depending on the case. If you have any questions about why I made them a certain way, ask away! It will help me to solidify them |

They sound like a peaceful race. Would they fight for any reason other than life or death situations? Quote: They have a weakness for plants, birds, and rectangle shaped objects. Rectangle shaped objects? Quote: Dryads can be subdivided into four sub-races: birch, oak, maple and fir. Do other trees not have dryads?

Griffin wrote: They sound like a peaceful race. Would they fight for any reason other than life or death situations? Probably not. Most of the Elemental Races wouldn't engage in war unless it was in defense. They probably won't have their own land, anyway, so even fighting against invaders would be sporadic.
