Merserath is Elanhil's character, deity level.

The Dragon is my character, also deity level.

They're going to fight each other.

The Dragon: *The light forces the darkness away and fills him from head to toe*

Me: Spectators may want to remain in protective bunkers.

Merashath: *lands in the corner of the room, shadows engulfing him and following him wherever he goes* *sparks fly from his mouth* Prepare to meet your end, dragon.

Dragon: *he leans backwards and takes a crouch and raises his arms* I do not end.

Merashath: This is not the first time I have heard somebody say that... immediately before I brought about their end. *Merashath takes a sudden leap forward, as if he will tackle Wu, but instead showers him in tongues of fire and swoops into the air*

The Dragon: *hurls himself backwards and ducks below the fire and springs back up. He stares up at Merserath* And many have told me that.

Merashath: Don't get cocky. You don't know the power within me. *spirals downward, crashing into Wu as he lands; a chill settling over the ground as a shadow is cast over them*

Wu: *rolls with the impact, and uses the momentum to throw Merserath* Nor do you know me.

Me: What brilliant one-liners we have.

Merashath: *Digs his claws into the dirt and grinds to a halt, pausing for a moment, before galloping back to charge*

Me: Was that sarcastic?

Wu: *drops to a crouch and spins his legs out to trip*

Me: No. Perhaps brilliant wasn't the word, but rather, witty.

Me: Oh...going back and reading them, yeah...it was more of a 'spur-of-the-moment-random-thing-I-thought-might-fit'....but in context, I guess...

Merashath: *gives a gentle leap and soars through the air for a couple seconds before tackling Wu Qiang around the upper body*

(He was on all 4s, btw...tripping would have been pointless...)

Wu: *jabs where the neck meets the back repeatedly, aiming for the spinal cord*

Merashath: *screeches, then spins around quickly scooping Wu up in his right wing and throwing him to the ground, breathes a jet of fire in his face*

Wu: *throws up his arms which absorb the fire* *kicks his legs straight up*

Sorry I've been gone...

Merashath: **rolls to the side to resist the kick**
**takes to the sky, and several seconds later dive-bombs the ground, about three yards from where Wu is. A small explosion occurs, freezing seconds afterwards, leaving an orange lava-sphere about two meters across. Merashath leaps up again, with what appears to be a thick trail of lava-drool falling out of his mouth onto the sphere**

That looks long, but it all happens in seconds...

Okay.

Qiang: *stares and drops to a crouch*

Grr, I'm dong awful at keeping up.

Merashath: **Seemingly dazed, staggers around to Wu's other side, then coughs up a small pool of thick, boiling red liquid.**

Wu: *watches warily, circling*

Merashath: *Staggers around back to the lava sphere, which he apparently dives in to. The trail of 'saliva' tightens up suddenly, recoiling to a small loop around the said sphere.*

(if Wu didn't see this coming then he is trapped in the loop theoretically.)

(I think I see what he did there. He is a ninja though)

Wu: *breaths in quickly as it burns, but leaps out in a somersault* Not bad.

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. -_-

*suddenly the sphere of lava erupts, and Merashath bursts forth, covered in the molten liquid. Smoke fills the area, and behind it the fiery silhouette of Merashath can be seen. All at once the smoke is gone, everything settles, leaving only puddles of quickly-cooling lava on the ground. Merashath is nowhere to be seen*

*Wu Qiang turns invisible*

Me: Oh joy. Now they're both missing.

Merashath re-appears in the middle of the....arena?

I guess it could be an arena.

The Dragon reappears, and shifts into a large dragon, with golden scales and the whole 9-yards of dragon trappings.

*Merashath remains where he is, motionless*

The Dragon: *unleashes wave of fire*

*Merashath is seemingly un-affected by the fire*

Me: ZZZ... I'm tired enough to end this so we don't have to keep up with it.

The Dragon: *begins to glow with a radiant white light that grows brighter and hotter by the millisecond*

Me: I agree... one more bout.

*Merashath remains completely motionless, eyes facing directly ahead*

Me: Okay.

The Dragon: *shockwave rolls out in a blinding flash, and flattens arena*

*Shockwave passes harmlessly through Merashath, who btw is still holding perfectly still. Suddenly a force about like that of 5 Rhino charges crashes into Wu from above. Merashath disappears and reappears on top of Wu*

It's a good thing I was that high above the ground when you pulled your nasty stunt. I also love the magic of illusions.

*spits sparks*

Wu: *dissipates so the force goes through him* *undissipates* *quadruples*

*Bursts into flames* (Think Balrog here...) *surges forward at a great speed, ramming directly into The Dragon*

The Dragon: *shoves back*

*leaps back and spreads his wings, a full 10-metre span. A faint yellow glowing can be seen just barely, especially at the wing-tips. Screeches tauntingly*

*spreads his own wings as a dragon and matches Merserath*

*Roars, causing the flames around him to ripple, and creating a wave of dust from the remains of the arena below him*

*fires a stream of energy-stuff*

*energy-stuff surges towards Merashath, but just as it reaches him it splits and goes around him, gathered in a neat sphere about himself. This sphere, Merashath inside it, surges towards Wu*

*Wu defuses energy and makes it disappear*

*keeps surging towards Wu, claws bare and teeth bared, in the hopes that he'll still be preoccupied with dissipating the energy*

Wu: *dodges out of the way*

*Pursues, with jets of flames spurting from his nostrils*

Wu: *holds out his hand and fire streams around him*

*Swoops directly into the jet of fire, and absorbs it through his mouth, then spits it back out*

*absorbs it*

*Suddenly stops duelling and drops to the ground*

You are a worthy opponent, Master Wu Qiang. I believe it is apparent that I am unable to defeat you, and you are also unable to best me. I therefore propose a draw.

*Spins in a circle, spitting out blue flames with land around him in a neat circle*

Me: (If you agree just drop inside. This isn't a trick)

Qiang: *returns to ninja form* I am honored by your offer, Master Merserath, and I thank you for your equal opposition. *enters circle*

*the flames expand into a dome, which slowly fades. When it's completely gone, so are its occupants; returned to their authors. The thread is over*
