.)Mmmm, so far, no, they haven't fought for anything, except maybe survival. As far as anyone knows, there is only one (however, in another story in which the Kiane comes in, at the end there are three others). So their numbers are alarmingly low, and, consequently, they try not to fight anything.
No, they couldn't be kept as pets. They speak English, so maybe they could be considered a race, as well as a creature. But no, as pets, I suppose they may find it insulting. They're about the size of a of a young adult male, more or less.
