As I read more and more of this wonderful site, I'm not sure I'll ever be a fantasy writer in the truest sense of the term. I really don't know how you all do it--suffice it to say, I'm much better at "real" fiction, hehe. ;) I'm going to try and do my best to learn though. :)

Anyway, as I've mentioned in my introduction, I'm writing a story that has some aspects of fantasy to it. There are some interesting creatures called Tpurrocs who are very demonish, ugly looking. Maybe similar to a Troll in some ways. They have rough, bumpy skin with claw-like hands, and are rather short (taller than an elf, but shorter than 5'). Oh, I also must mention that they have unpleasant guttural-sounding voices.

Special Features: They are able to morph into human beings and look completely normal, voice and all. They use it to their advantage to lure humans into their world.

I'm still trying to figure some things out. I would like the humans who are lured into the world to be able to turn into a Tpurroc themselves, but I would also need to come up with a different name for them, since the "real" Tpurrocs are of a different origin.

I also have a dragon named Nator, who was once good, but is now evil and in charge of all the Tpurrocs. He isn't your regular type of dragon as he is very cunning and can speak not only to his minions but also to people.

Thank you for your kind words. :D

Mhmm, they are, but sometimes they're so deceiving that it's hard to recognize them as the bad guys.

If they have their own world, how do they get the humans there? I'm assuming this Nator is your Satanic like character.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. Life has been crazy.

Inesdar: No, they're never good.

Griffin: Hmm, I'm going to have to work on describing that to you. It may not make sense, and how I have it set up may not work anyways...and, yes, you would be correct. Nator is similar to Satan. :)

Thanks for the questions!

Is Nator a Tpurroc as well, or just (!just!) a dragon.

They sound really cool. Reminds me of the troll characters in Spiderwick.

Is there a limit as to how long they can maintain a human form? And, is there any way to tell that they are Tpurrocs when they are in human form. for example, some magical item that enables the bearer to see them for who they really are.

P.S. How do you pronounce the name?
