Oh boy...my first post ever! I'm currently brainstorming on writing a story called Bondage.
Basic Plot It is about a young girl who feels pressured by the world and its expectancy of her and her gifts. Although she is needed by the world, she is also rejected, due to an unexpected birth of race and immortality to mortality. She is mainly rejected because she befriends the unwanted, helps the useless and doesn't stand out like she is supposed to. She journeys the far world with her unwanted friends in order to save them. In the end she dies for her friends, and is resurrected by God.
Where does she live? The World is split between the elements. She was born in the Land of the Sun, but her nationality derives from the opposing country...Land of the Moon. Since both of the Great Nations are in ruins, she prefers to live in the Land of the Sun, where the rejected live. What are her gifts/powers? Travelers told stories of a child who had the power to give life and restore peace to the world. This was the fate that was brought to her. Why does she help the helpless? They were rejected like her. She helps them because no one else can help them. She does the duties that she was born to do. Why doesn't she behave as expected She behaves like she is supposed to...it is where she came from and her childhood that cause her to be rejected. God gave gifts to the people....these gifts were Angels. She was one of them...different Angels have different functions. The Land of the Moon was famous for having their children become these gifts of God. There numbers decreased while warring with their opposing nation, Land of the Sun, where demons were born. All prodigy of either nation had a part of immortal blood that churned within them. When Kanari was born, her father was a Sun-jini and her mother was a Royal Moon-sunu. This caused the people of all countries to believe that she was a demon that God sent to punish them. How is she expected to behave? She was suppose to bring the righteous with her on a journey to the Land of the Moon, where the final battle will be fought and peace will be restored to the broken. What does she save her friends from? Since the Sun-jins and the Moon-suns are basically racist against each other, her family does not get along well. Her mother dies during her birth, her father, who obviously isn't racist, decides to take care of his daughter while he was in war (he was Captain of the Army). The young Captain was under his father, who held an extreme hatred against Moon-suns. As a result, he banished his son from his family and marked both his son and grandchild for death. The Grandfathers name is also Kanari (the girls name at the time was Nami) and he vowed to destroy any followers of "Nami" and rule the wolrd based on what he thought was best. In the end he is finally defeated. When wishing death, "Nami" spares his life. It is then that "Nami" changed her name to Kanari, and her grandfather gives her his most sacred sword, which represent his life. His character represents a persecutor of Christians, most likely Paul, who later became a Christian himself.
I based this story off of Jesus. Kanari or "Nami" is the Jesus character, who helps the unwanted and sacrifices herself for her friends, who were marked for death. I hope to make the story portray Jesus really well. I also plan to make series based on the growing up stages of her life. Please comment if you have any suggestions and such. Thank you!
