We all have seen the amazing thread of the Hemmingways, tuning our artistic ability to only a few words. If we can do six... we can do three. We can do two! Yellow stone, bloodied. Icy dagger fell. Stone speaks slowly. Books crumble alone. He broke, finally. Memorial to Time. Sea's relentless pull... These are fun. That first one has significance in my story, if anyone caught it - portals in my world are denoted by a yellow threshold stone (over which you step to travel) and they can only be opened or activated by the blood of an elf spilled upon that stone.
