| This map was made for Seer's essence challenge, on Lucy Pevensie from Narnia. Eventually I'm hoping to do all four of the Pevensies but I chose Lucy first just because there's something about her character. Her life is a pure love story with Narnia and with Aslan, and I wanted to try to capture that somehow in an essence map. Hopefully I succeeded Body Eyes - rich chocolate stirred in a vat - the sharp-edged feathers of a hawk - kind sparkle of a babbling creek Smile - a baby speaking its first words - fresh-fallen snow Hair - the fine bark of a beech tree - gentle wind rustling the branches of a tree Face - the moon, reflected in the water - a stone worn smooth by the waves Beauty Jealousy - a wolf stalking its prey - the hidden corners of a pitch-black cavern - An original masterpiece - a foal first released into the fields - flowers blooming in the spring Mind Discovery Curiosity - seeing a new exhibit at a museum - a dusty door, partially open - the new rain of spring - hidden thrill of what’s around the corner Innocence - lacy caress of falling snow - purity of a clear running stream - stained-glass windows bathing a cathedral in colored light - ducklings following their mother Valiance - Reepicheep of Narnia - A horse ready for the starting gun Love Narnia Oceans - the salty deck of the Dawn Treader - a soaring eagle high above the clouds - a majestic rock canyon - the light touch of a feather - the slow pace of camping, relaxation Discovery Pristine - The shining shores of Antarctica - A hidden enclave - the glittering shore of a lake surrounded by thick woods Belief - A piano, played alone inside an empty hall Mr. Tumnus - First to step onto a pristine continent - Haunting song of the bard - laughter shared between friends - Melting grip of winter Purity - Juice of the Fireflower - Sparkling rays of the sun - A precious stone, buried within the earth - Sand in an hourglass - An unused wedding dress, perfectly white - A wife waiting for her husband to return Soul Aslan Faith/Trust - “daddy, catch me!” - the firm weight of a strong cord - reassuring feel of a warm blanket - an ancient oak firmly rooted in the ground - the earth-shaking roll of thunder in the dark sky - soaring flight of an eagle Belief - A crystal diamond catching the rays of the sun - Soldier’s return at the end of a war - A pearl, hidden in the folds of an oyster - The roar of a free Lion - A lion’s mane, rippling in the wind - the unchanging love of a Father Return to Narnia - preserved text of an ancient scroll - promises of a wedding vow Heaven Spirit Quality - A medal newly awarded - The complexity of a tiny seashell - An un-crackable, impossible code - careful weavings in an ornate tapestry - the spreading branches of a massive tree Depth - a feather, slowly sinking into a cave - leaf carried through a gentle creek - the impossible fathoms of the ocean - rolling thunder of powerful breaking waves Purity - bright light streaming from an open window - a streaming banner across blue sky - untouched white sand - a golden wedding band, perfectly forged -- I used several attributes over again but I wasn't sure how to combine those while still having them be under other categories Hopefully you enjoyed it! Edmund next, then Peter and Susan eru | |

| Thank you! I really love the character of Lucy in Narnia, and a couple of times working on this map I felt like I just got the "perfect" metaphor to describe something. This would be one of those (If you're new to essence or confused by essence mapping, looking at SEM is a good place to start *points to signature*) Andrew | |
