I really like it. Oh, it's hard to criticize when there's not much to criticize on!

I have a few suggestions, though, to make it a little smoother.

Untried leather
This would, in my mind, be a bit smoother if you put 'New leather' or some variant thereof, I think that 'untried leather' may not be the best metaphor here.
