This is my first attempt at essence...and I expect it shows. :P So here's my first essence map, for my character Ark.

Body:
 Hair:
  Texture: spider's silk
  Color: snow
   rays of sunlight
 Eyes (before):
  Color: liquid gold
  Warmth: a fire in a fireplace
 Eyes (now): a deep well
 Skin:
  Color: a sheet of paper
 Grace: a dancer
  a cat

Soul:
 lost in a forest
 a lone statue on an empty plain
 Heart: a broken glass
  an injured child
  standing at a window looking out
 Mind:
  Clarity: a still pool

Spirit:
 Loyalty: an old hunting dog
 Courage: a man with nothing more to lose
 Faith: a flickering ember

Thanks, both of you. I still feel like it's really lacking some things that I simply don't know how to essence map yet, but I hope it at least gets across the basics.
