In my many travels and creations of sentient, humanoid beings I have come across a problem. I'm sure many of you have had the same with your elves, dwarves, and humans. The problem is cross breeding. Mark 10:9 talks about not taking apart what God has put together (and I'm pretty sure there's one about putting together what God separates, but for the life of me I can't find it). Well, scales and wings and shape-shifting seems pretty diverse. Do you all in your worlds allow love between such different creatures however wise? I just thought I'd get some opinions on this one.

People in Japan are still Human. Nohokai, Anthrogryphs, and Mermaids are not.

Yeah, I'm looking for something of a midpoint between the two. I'm figuring perhaps the different shapeshifters can intermingle (still not sure how things will work with the children) but further than that the whole system explodes a little.

Uniting different races in marriage? I think that's perfectly acceptable, since it happens all the time, but it would get rather strange if you started marrying a more animal-looking race to a humanoid one. That's a problem I'm dealing with.

Well, that's what I'm getting at. How would they be able to produce viable offspring, and if they can't should they be allowed to marry? Because all my races come from separate ancestors from the beginning of creation, I'm not sure how much they should stay that way.
