I'm doing several things, I am editing a long manuscript of a 'novel' I wrote but haven't finished yet (I'll finish it when I get to the end), I am editing a shorter story that is actually fantasy, and is the second part to the story I already have up (see 'The Fall of Trythica' in my signature), and in between those things I'm brainstorming several things about my fantasy world. I need someone to challenge me in a way that will (hopefully) help me get some editing done on both stories. Is there such a thing as an editing challenge?? :/

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking... Do you want people to challenge each other with goals?

I think my problem is that I am really excited to get going on writing and refining fantasy fiction, but the story I need to revise right now is a science fic that I did on nanowrimo. So I'm not moving along very fast on it and was wondering if there was any way to motivate yourself to edit something when you don't really want to, like with some kind of challenge. I think I'll get through it without help, but thought it might help if someone had a challenge that fitted my needs. I could probably figure something out myself, but I might take it more seriously if someone else told me about it/to do it. Did that clarify, or confuse you even more? :)

I think I get what you are saying.

You want someone to keep you accountable in your editing (and, maybe in return, keep them accountable), right?

There is an author accountability thread on the Historical forum, but it didn't make its way over here.

Oh...I see what you mean now, yeah I'm not on that forum, and I don't think I'll be joining it since that's not what I'm writing...quite the opposite really.

I brought that thread over from the Historical Forum.
