This one was strangely hard. I still don't feel like I have exactly what I was looking for. Julian Vega Body: ........Eyes: ...............Colour: emeralds / honey ...............Depth: fire ...............Sparkle: tarnished silver ........Smile: a fearful rabbit ........Hair: ...............Colour: fawn’s fur / field mice ...............Texture: cream ........Face: a child / the moon ........Motion: ...............Grace: tripping over a curb ...............Strength: a poorly built shelter ...............Speed: a whisper Spirit: ........Quality: torn cloth ........Loyalty: a ship on the sea / a tumbleweed in the wind ........Pride: a hidden defect / showing off riding a bike with no hands, not realizing you’re about to go off a cliff ........Anger: smouldering ashes / a sudden storm ........Fear: a churchmouse / deer fleeing before a hunter / a shy child Mind: ........Clarity: clouds of smoke ........Depth: rolling hills ........Knowledge: a dark room / visiting an unfamiliar city ........Logic: a merry-go-round Soul: ........Depth: pools left during low tide ........Hate: a slow drizzle / an aching pain |

Can I too? I had a moment of epiphany when I read this. I think I finally get Essence Mapping. Maybe. |

Just wanted to let you know that the Raven in question is in Europe, hence her unresponsiveness. eru |

Good work Raven of the Wood! My favorite parts: Body: ........Eyes: ...............Depth: fire ...............Sparkle: tarnished silver ........Smile: a fearful rabbit ........Face: a child / the moon Spirit: ........Anger: smouldering ashes / a sudden storm ........Fear: deer fleeing before a hunter / a shy child Mind: ........Clarity: clouds of smoke ........Depth: rolling hills ........Knowledge: a dark room / visiting an unfamiliar city ........Logic: a merry-go-round (would you rather write carousel?) Soul: ........Depth: pools left during low tide ........Hate: a slow drizzle / an aching pain My especially favorite parts: Body: ........Eyes: ...............Depth: fire ...............Sparkle: tarnished silver Mind: ........Depth: rolling hills ........Knowledge: a dark room / visiting an unfamiliar city Soul: ........Depth: pools left during low tide ........Hate: a slow drizzle / an aching pain My favorite of all: Soul: ........Hate: a slow drizzle / an aching pain My favorite description without regard for its application: a dark room / visiting an unfamiliar city Do more! It might lure the inspiration you need (and get more essence maps in here!). |

Thank you very much. Carousel could work too. I think merry-go-round is more commonly used up here, which is why it came to mind. I should do more. I miss working on them, and I have quite a few to do. Unfortunately my time is rather cramped right now, though... |

You are welcome. Actually the concept pre-existed us. According to Douglas Gresham C. S. Lewis wrote in a notebook about The Voyage of the Dawn Treader "...To be a very green, and pearly story." I understand about time being cramped. I hope we will see more maps from you very soon! |
