Post subject:  Tentative "Shattering the Dark" Outline
I've outlined one story in my life, and that was for school. I don't outline. But now I have, of sorts. :roll:

I'm also outlining in a weird way. I would hear a song on the radio, and it would make me think of a scene/chapter in Shattering the Dark, so I'd write it down. The titles of the chapters will be the names of the songs. I'm still trying to see if copyright laws allow that... I don't quote the song, and I'm planning on giving credit to the musicians/bands.

I don't have it all in order, nor is it final, but I thought I'd post it here and see what you all think. Would this work? Also, I have random notes to myself in there, but feel free to comment on there too. ;)

Here's the list! I'm planning on adding more as I get it/put it in order. And thank you in advance for reading. :D

Shattering the Dark
Part I
    Prologue- introduce Kurt and Shawn's past
    Fireflies- play in backyard; intro MCs and imcs
    To The Sky- the Lewis' and the Henderson's imaginary games
    Wyatt's Torch- Waiting in lighthouse during storm
    This Is Home- Shawn loving beach; familiar...
    Live Like You're Loved- Kurt and Josh leave for Vietnam
    Mine- rope swing over creek; Jayson and Shawn are in their early teens and dealing with older bros being gone overseas
    The Unveiling- Scottish dance\fencing; Jaimie and Shawn
    Letters From War- self-explanatory
    Pass Over Us- trip into time of Moses (Kendall T's invention)
    I'm Already Home- last letters from Kurt and Josh
    Temporary Home- Shawn leaves (orphanage in AZ)
    Open Hands- or I Believe- Jayson becomes Christian after Josh and Kurt die in V. (make non-cliche)
Part II.
    Cinderella- Jaimie's wedding
    World Traveler- introduce Jayson in future in his role as an 'secret agent'

Sounds good Shawn! I'm not an outliner either :P but that looks like it could work. I'd say give it a go! :D

It's hard for me to absorb the outline when I'm not familiar with the plot, but it looks good. Plot definitely holds interest! :D How many parts are you planning on?

I'm planning two parts. I haven't finished outlining the second part; it's not in order and I don't have everything yet, so I'll see how that goes. ;) It really depends on how it goes. Right now I have two parts because I jump ahead several years. :)

It does look like the two parts are very separate, almost like complete mini-books of their own. But it's hard to tell without seeing all the plot of Part 2. :D

I suppose I could do that... They are related, but they could be split. :D

Now I have more decisions! ;)

:D Not being overtly familiar with your storyline, my judgement is faulty. But just from reading the outline, it looks like there's a pretty solid break between the events of Part 1 & 2.

Yup. There's a large time gap, hence two parts.

I'm working on Part two's outline... :)
