I was looking through iTunes the other day, and stumbled upon what is perhaps the greatest find of my life -- a series of podcasts that gives lectures on Tolkien's works. :dieshappy:

The title of the podcast series is The Tolkien Professor, and has this to say for itself:
The Tolkien Professor wrote:
The Tolkien Professor podcast is a series of lectures, discussions, and seminars on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien by Corey Olsen, Assistant Professor of English at Washington College in Maryland. Find me on Facebook at "The Tolkien Professor," on Twitter at @tolkienprof, or at my website at http://www.tolkienprofessor.com. I have also begun a grand new venture: the Mythgard Institute, offering courses on Tolkien studies for credit at the MA level, or just for fun! Join us at http://www.mythgard.org.

I've listened to the first podcast so far, and the series looks like it will be extremely good. The podcasts can be found on iTunes, or you can download the mp3 files here.

Awesome! Thank you so much for sharing this!!! Unfortunately the first one in itunes (on my iPod) doesn't have a download button. But I'll find a way to listen to them even if it isn't so convenient--these look way too good to pass up.

These are amazing! So so true and it hits me in a special way with a truth; we writers do not create or invent stories; we discover them.
