OK--I had to make a word counter for my JavaScript/JQuery class, and I thought of HolyWorlds. Anyways, here is a very simple word counter for validating your NaNo. Anything below 50,000 words shows the total in red, anything above shows it in green:

I know this isn't obviously useful, since Microsoft Word has a similar tool and the NaNo website does as well, but since I had to make it for my class anyways...I figured it would be a good tool for me personally when I don't have access to my laptop. Anyways, use if you wish, if not I won't be offended =)

Why does that seem more simple than NaNo's counter? :D

I wonder if it has any funny glitches. Write or die and certain versions of openoffice count things they shouldn't. *decides to test*

This runs on Javascript, and it literally counts things between spaces as an individual word.

Thus, this counts as a word, as does
this, but this onlycountsasone. Make sense? :)
