I found this really good blog by a published author. Gail Carson Levine is a fantasy author that takes fairy tales and mixes them up. She has a really nice storytelling voice. She runs the below blog and answers questions from readers about anything from writing tips to book covers and publishing. I have found it to be a valuable resource. http://gailcarsonlevine.blogspot.com/ EDIT: Note: While most of her books are appropriate, I would not recommend The Two Princesses of Bamarre or Ever. |
