I have a Carter in one of my stories, but he isn't anything like yours. The imagery is beautiful here. I especially like the color references, though the nature ones are crisp as well. I'm getting a nice contradiction; he sounds both old and young. He has some qualities of wise age with a spark of lighthearted youthfulness. How old is he? |

He is in his early twenties. Hmm... I tried to make him sound wiser than his age, but I think I might have overdone it a little. |

No, I think that makes sense. He definitely has an essence of wisdom, but the little spark of youthfulness keeps him from sounding like an elder. Sounds like a delightful character. |
