This is the prologue of my book I'm working on (which does not yet have a name).... I hope you like it :D

P.S. I would appreciate if you didn't take my names, I created them myself and they took quite a lot of effort... Thanks!

In the beginning years of the world known as Earth, Adonai noticed the inhabitants of that planet had grown serious and dull, mirth could not be found in but a few. Adonai then took those with great imagination through a portal--to a planet in another galaxy, placing them on the sole continent of the watery planet. There, Adonai gifted the males extraordinary hunting skills and the females miraculous powers--which enabled them to control a limited amount of weather, plants and animals. The people lived in harmony with mythical creatures that those on Earth could only dream about. Naming the planet and the solitary continent Nadinya--for it was the ‘Beginning of Hope’, the people populated the land and became great in numbers. The people of Nadinya, known as the Blessed, became an advanced race, building cities roosted among towering trees. Though living in a fantasy world soon got tiring for some of the Blessed--so they revolted and murdered many of the population in cold blood. Some fled to a nearby island, named Morlevar, because it fit the meaning of the landscape--dark and sinister. The remaining Blessed, wept for those who had gone astray, hoping Adonai would pardon them from His wrath. The Morlevars were spared from Adonai’s wrath, and populated the island--cutting off the ties that bound them to Nadinya, and remaining in their lonely exile.
Meanwhile, the Nadinians’ treetop city--which they named Imendriah, flourished as they created a new government system for the continent, which was known as the Assembly. The Assembly was a powerful collection of the continent’s fantasy inhabitants--represented by the ruler of each race.
The rulers of the Blessed at that time were Caynen and Yulissa--they were fair and kind to the peoples of every race.
Now, in the present time of Nadinya--many millennia after their arrival, things are very much the same. We are now ruled by Eli--the descendent of Caynen and his bride, Permelia. The royal family is completed by their son Arlyn and daughter Terra--who was sent away to exile with her Aunt at the age of two, because she was told to possess great power that, if gotten into the hands of the inhabitants of Morlevars--could end the kind rule of the Nadinians….

I like it. It sounds like it would be a good book. :D

Pretty cool! Great descriptions!

Don't worry about losing names that you create, normally people do the same with their own things, so we all understand how you feel about that. :D

Thanks! I have to add a bit to it (it's a little short) but that's still the main idea :D

Sounds interesting...I'm guessing Terra is the same Terra I've met in the Character Development character, who your username is named after, and who the story will be about? Sounds good, I can't wait to read it. Have you already posted some parts of it somewhere else?

This is actually a first draft... so I've done quite a lot of changes since posting this :D Yes, she's what I named my username after and you've also met her in the introductions room. Thanks for your comments! I did post the first part of my Chapter in the 'Hooks' topic :D

Very creative way of setting a fantasy world within our Biblical framework. I think your story has promise and intrigue with the princess in exile for her special power. I set myself a reminder to read you chapter in "hooks" later. I look forward to it :)

Sounds good...I'll have to read the first chapter as well. Like Timotheus said, I'm looking forward to it.

Lady Terra and I have agreed that this post is ready to be locked and archived, but I hope that we'll hear more about Nadinya soon!

Thanks!

It's been decided to let this thread have another shot at life for a while.

This is interesting! I like that the race "fell" because they lost a sense of joy. That is unique and intriguing. I also like that you used the name "Adonai" for God; that is one of His rarer, yet extremely beautiful, names.

I'm intrigued by the backstory of your MC... I'd keep reading about her. :)
