Post subject:  My Simple Theology
Here is a brief glance into my simple, idealistic, allegorical theology.

God - Eshyklah - that means Consuming Fire in Hebrew.
The story is OT, for the most part, but my "Jesus figure" is not very allegorical.
Fyrstar - Jesus figure, but not like Jesus at all.
Kalisi - angels of light
Clethdyr - fallen angels
Evillon - chief fallen Clethdyr, called Exuglori by followers.

That is all I've developed so far on my god-character.

She dies for her people so the Ashelves can be renewed, but she isn't perfect like Jesus nor was she born of Eshyklah except in the fact that He created her, if that makes sense. She is also mortal.

So she would be more of a savior figure and "type" of Christ, like Abraham and Isaac or Melchizedek, right?

Yeah, that's about right. That actually makes more sense...thanks! The only difference is she is the ONLY Savior who self-sacrifices, althought there are other heroic icons in Eivylazia.

That's pretty cool! :D My story has a God, but the story isn't allegorical. I do have plans for a story about forgiveness and redemption though.

What do you mean "'type' of Christ"? I'm not sure what you mean by that, but honestly there's something about that phrase that doesn't set well with me for some reason...

A "type" is a theological term that means a foreshadowing or example. Abraham and Isaac were a "type" of Christ because they showed the way in which God was willing to give up his only son before Jesus actually came (and some of the symbolism is striking). Another example is Noah who provided a way to escape God's wrath. A "'type' of Christ" is just another way of saying "a picture of Christ" or "an example of redemption". Does that make sense?

Hmm... I think so. It isn't necessarily the term I would use, but I think I understand what you meant.

Normally I wouldn't have used that term either, but my pastor had used it in his sermon that Sunday and it was the first one that came to mind. Sorry for any confusion :?
