Ouskar: I-I think so. We don't ride dragons where I'm from.

Tynx: I'm ready! I've room for anyone if they need it. [Looks at Jaimie]

Viarri: - motions to Skyburner's massive back - Room here too.

Skyburner: Yeah. Room here. - shifts weight from one side to another -

Klasina: I think we're good for now. Maybe we can rotate which dragons have riders, so they can fly longer.

[A loud roar sounds behind them]

Tynx: What...

[A very wet and very angry troll stands at the top of the cave, where the treasure hunters had escaped the tide, roaring in an outrage]

Tynx: Oh no! Go, go, go! Everyone in the air!

Cat-Dragon: *circles anxiously* Where's Cannon-Ball when we need her???

Ionas: Locked up. She's like the Hulk, it's better that way.

Cat-Dragon: Maybe, but she's the only one of us that can breath fire.

Me: Really?

Me: Fine, fine, I'll get her!

Cannon-Ball: *dives down and smashes into the troll*

Cat-Dragon: Come on everyone, fly!

Skyburner: - lands in forest -

Everybody on his back: - climbs off -

Viarri: - chops down some trees and starts fire - - pulls food and drinks out of her pack - Lunch time!

Tynx: [Shoots into the air, safely out of the troll's reach. Flinches slightly when Cannon-Ball smashes into the troll] Nice shot!

Troll: [Dazed and confused]

Celia: *mumbles something and holds onto Skyburner with a death grip, squeezing her eyes shut*

Celia: *skeptical look* Do we at least have a map, or clues or something?

Me: Well, this should be interesting... So, I can just do things like this?

Tynx: We have a gem, and runes. So far, all we have to go on is a city in the forest. Oh, and we have this little miss. [Gently nudges Sapphire with his tail] Who has so far been rather unhelpful.

Charlotte: *raises a hand, unleashing a dark mist that surrounds the hyena and kills it instantly* *yawns arrogantly and walks away*

Me: Don't be a show off. And what did I say about magic on this trip?!

Charlotte: *shrugs* Whatever. Let's just find this forest city and be done with this!

Scarlet: That sounds interesting... but I do wonder, how are we going to find it in such a big forest? o.0

Me: *Zaps Rogan in* Rogan is basically Alina's big brother, although they're not related.

Alina: *Looks at Geo and then Celia and then Zach* You have no idea what you just missed, Sir Zachary. *Chuckles*

Me: *forgot to write Zach seething but letting Celia have her choice, then looking smugly at Geo* My bad.

Rogan: Are you kidding me? We just got transported from a world at war and this is our first chance in months to have some fun! And I plan on doing so. Let's get this treasure hunt going! *Grins*

Tynx: We can only make out the first rune. A castle. The gem... I don't know what it's for, except housing annoying rats and causing us no end of trouble.

Geo: *slaps Zach on the back playfully* Just messing around buddy! Don't let my good looks intimidate you.

Me: Just ignore him Zach. Anywho, I was about to ask the same thing Celia...

Zach: *thinks* This guy had better get his hand off me before I break his arm...

Celia: Well, you're pretty much always tired when you're writing, and you've never missed something like that before... Thank heavens Erick has Jaina now!
Me: Yeah, the love triangle was getting somewhat hard and annoying to maintain. It was an excellent story element while it lasted, though... Anyway, I guess I pay more attention when I'm writing an actual story. I don't know.
Celia: Okay, we get it. But what could the castle stand for?
Zach: And how does a gem house rats?
Me: Y'all stole the words right out of my mouth...

Geo: *sends thoughts to Zach* It's no use; I would heal it with ease. *mental wink *

Me: NO MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's an unfair advantage, Geo! We're also going to navigate this forest ourselves with the help of the other characters, got it?!

Celia: *shouts over wind* How about our powers? *causes water to rise out of a pond nearby and shape into a ball, tosses it in the air and catches it several times, unaffected by the air movement*
Me: They're not magic. They're your natural human abilities. But for the sake of argument, I think we should refrain from using them as well.
Zach: But... *wind dies down*
Me: *holds up pen* I WILL use this thing!

Jaimie: "Yeah, a LOT of trouble." * looks at the other character * "What are you all doing?"

Me: "She's from this world."

Jaimie: "As opposed to what? Numinor?"
