Cannon- Hits water! causing a large splash it does not seem as if any of the cannon balls are hitting the ship it's almost as if they are being redirected at something.

Me- Good idea as you can see that's where i was heading any way!

Lecan:  Your weapons are not working...

Me: Oh good! But still, if I ever do something that doesn't "fit" with your plan, just let me know and I'll fix it. ;)

Lyr'Ous- (throws a huge fire ball at the pirate ship, the fire ball explodes it impacts an invisible barrier) Oh this is really starting to get on my nerves!

Lecan: What is this devilry? Is it conjured by someone's craft, or is it static*?

*By 'static' he means part of the ship itself or something other than a spell or some mage using his power.

Me: The reason he's asking this is because if it is someone on the ship conjuring the shield, he might be able to distract them with a mind-rending shriek (he's got a knack for that type of thing), unless the barrier is effective against sound as well.
Of course, no one would know probably unless Lyr'Ous is familiar with it or something like it. The other reason I'm asking is to find out whether it would even fit in the plot for the barrier to be stopped anyway. ;)

Lyr'Ous-(Thinks for a moment) The only thing I can think of would be if they had an Ancient Imperial shield-maker. However such a device has few weaknesses.

Lyr'Ous-(A frightening smile crossing is face) Oh it will break.

Me- A little out of character knowledge the Ancient Empire used morally questionable methods (Soul Sealing) to create extremely powerful enchantments that nearly brought about the end of the world. As you can see Lyr'Ous would be happy to SMITE such a device.

Lecan: *is encouraged and trusts Lyr'Ous' superior knowledge, but remains ready for anything unexpected*

Me: okay, thank you for that tidbit! That sounds interesting. :D

Lyr'Ous- The trick is actually getting on the boat without using ancient enchantments ourselves. I think I might be able to create a small opening; however I will not be able to pass through it, you will need to take a couple of men aboard that ship and break the Shield-Maker. Look for a rune covered tablet. It should be etched in and filled with quintessence. (he points at the faintly glowing Gun Powder) If you start hearing voices when you approach it, don't get discouraged that's just how Ancient Enchantments work.

Lyr'ous- I will project a walk way however you will need to move quickly. Something is bothering me though. That ship has ancient imperial runes on it? Could it be? No! Just get aboard and find that tablet.

Lecan: All right. *bellows above the storm but projects the sound only to those on the ship* I need a few strong fighters to come to me immediately!

A small number of sailors gather around you.

Lecan: *sizes up sailors* Okay, I need you, you, you and you, What are your names? Be ready for Lyr'ous' walkway and follow me on to the ship.

Me: That's fine. :) By the way I finally did some more work on the SLS map, I'll send you an email tonight hopefully.

(They tell you their names are Skunk, Rat, and Badger)
Lyr'Ous- You Ready?

Me: the map is really shaping up. I got a couple of questions though. What's that big Southern doing their? Is it just an unfinished Southern Empire? Also I need to know if you are moving the Corrupted Lands and the Alliance into the east? If you are its OK but I got to know for lore reasons. By the way the Empire and Alliance are going to need to be adjacent I've decided to write a book and they're going to WAR! Also their will be a big canal between them God uses Lyr'Ous (The Crusader is used as a conduit for God's will and power kinda like Moses and the prophets) to split the two nations down the middle. Is that too much trouble? Also I think the Isle of Faith Might need to be a little bigger now that I look at the map. Sorry I know that's a lot.

Me: OK THX.

(As you reach the other side you are greeted by a crew of ghastly men. The men are so skinny you might mistake one for a skeletons if not for their pale flesh. When you look into heir eyes you see only a cold white void. they appear to be dressed in Greek-Roman style armor that has worn over many ages. They are covered with dust. One of the men behind you attempts to retreat however he slips and falls intro the water due to his state of terror.)
