Congratulations, Tim, on the second draft and the possibility of publishing! :D

Go, Grace! You can do it!

Go, Philli! *chants: "Four more scenes. Four more scenes"*

How many words do you have to write to reach 60,000, Azlyn? You can do it!

As for me, I finished chapter six of my third draft yesterday, so I'm about a third of the way through the book. I have to finish one more chapter today and tomorrow in order to meet my goal. *goes to write*

Well done, Tim! I browse in this thread a lot, it's awesome to see how everyone is doing! It must be exciting to know you're closer to being published than ever before! Thanks for updating us.

Thanks, Raven! :D You're working on The Masked Bird, right?

Down to two scenes left! I did some rearranging which made a couple scenes flow together more smoothly, but to compensate I might have to add one more scene. Not sure, and probably won't know until I do my proofread. But we'll see. Hoping to get a head start on those last two scenes today.

One scene left! ONE SCENE! I did some rearranging and figured out that I needed to add one scene, but I got it and another written. So all I have left is one scene and then part 1 is done! Cleared 120,000 words in the process.

*is very excited for all the work that is getting done* =D (With a death by happiness that occurred when he read Grace's resolution. ;) )

*suddenly realizes he has a novel update* o.O D:

I discovered recently that Nomad's world building needed severe changing. Especially in some areas that were going to be key plot points. :P

However! I let myself forget about the problem and moved on. Today (or maybe yesterday and today - I can't remember  ), I did some mild brainstorming, (Translation? I did some non-serious daydreaming.) and I believe I figured out a way to fix some of the problems. :D

And now I have two gdocs woefully in need of updating.

And have you made it, Philie? Is it finished?

*hugs Mae and shoves a platter of cupcakes at her* Here! You deserve this! And you get extra sprinkles for your attitude of "keep going past my goal." :D

*is happy for Mark's brainstorming* It's always wonderfully exciting to figure out fixes to story issues. :D Keep going!

I've got just the one scene to write today, then a quick proofread before it goes out to test-readers. :D

Scene written! Took awhile, but it's written. :D Just need to reread the completed part to make sure there's no major potholes... I'd like to get it out to test-readers tomorrow, if possible.

*chuckles* I'll have plenty of time to proofread today, so I'm hoping to get it done and sent this evening. Can't promise, though, since I don't know how long it will take. This is just a light proofread, mostly for inconsistencies; I'm not going to finesse the expression too much at this stage. But that doesn't mean I won't discover a problem that needs fixed.

It is epic. If I do say so myself. :D

Thanks, Mark! :D *sets aside cookies and milk for snackage while proofreading*

Well, maybe Mark's just not as big a fan of your cookies as other people are. There's a few dissenters in the cupcake realm too, y'know. :D

Actually, brainstorming with a friend usually counts. :D Sometimes I spend whole days doing that, when I'm stuck or in the brainstorming stages. You work on it more today, yes? For Leah? :D

Or maybe Mark didn't realize these cookies were special cookies.

*showers Arien with cupcakes* How'd it go, Gracie?

Love those goals, Elly! Del shall be expecting frequent updates.

Thanks to a long car ride allowing me to get seven hours of proofreading in before my netbook battery drained, part 1 of Peter's Angel went out to test-readers this morning. :D Final length is 121 full-size pages, or approx. 60,000 words.

New month, new year! What are everyone's goals for this month?

I want to finish part 2 of Peter's Angel this month. That's 24 scenes, or about 50,000 words. So about a NaNoWriMo pace, which is lighter than that maniacal thing I was doing last month. ;)

I'm glad for the slightly slower pace, because I need to work on Faded as well. I want to figure out the plot and start the new draft this month. I'm hoping for time to brainstorm this week.
