I was responsible for America's demise.

Things needed fixing. Not later. Now.

The sky's his only friend now.

Welcome to the silent world: Home.

She danced alone in the storm.

Once was lost, now is found.

He died the death I deserve.

This Hemingway challenge looks very fun. :)

Only death and glory for me.

Night of sorrow, day of peace.

"Fly, run!" "But only cowards run!"

Sorry, that is all for now

Never think I'll trust you again.

You're the blue in my world.

I dreamt you were here too.

In my thoughts, you're still alive.

Don't leave, the darkness is coming.

Decided to have fun with this and transcribe the plot of famous movies into Hemingway Sentences. :)

PM me your guesses on what they are.

Mere Survival woke a sleeping Monster.
==============
Against Monsters, we built our own.
==============
Turned Monster, her bravery freed us all.
==============
To Know thyself, We fled society. (Similar to another dystopian plot.)
==============
We raised Dragons, to fight Dragons.
==============
In that Moment, we returned Home.
==============
Though Frozen, our hearts came together
==============
We were tested and proven faithful. (Think very recent)
==============
Our children, trained for genocide
==============
The Matrix consumed all but One.
==============
From Pride, One king rose again.
==============
From Shadows, nocturnal Nightmares took flight.
==============
In daylight, the killers were made known.
==============
They gallivanted on pearls of death
==============
White city burning while he dines.
==============
In shadows, dangerous games are played.
==============
The Holocaust deterred not this man.
==============
Nor tricksters pawns, their united front
==============
Invalid, to Invincible; the Citizen Soldier
==============
Bears his claws, the mutant gene
==============
Drives the cause, the miserable resistance
==============
Cleans the walls, The white EVE
==============
Sings o'er hills, music's sweet sound
==============
Tells her story, on banks redeemed
==============
Tales ever told, His Greatest Story
==============
Taken from Gods, the Cast-away Thief
==============
ends the never ending story of old
==============
London's King, the folly of Chris (Looking at you Varon :) )
==============
Told the tale, of Patton's aim
==============
To end this thread and end the game. (not a movie. Disregard this ending)

It's really done, by the way....

Honest, that's it.

SO!, if you think you know all of these Movie titles, Pm me and see how Genre savvy you are.

(And yes, if you read this as a full poem instead of Hemingway gone mad, it does kind of make sense. ;) Good luck!!! )

You think you'll win this time?

My success? Mostly luck, also handsomeness.

I think I'm doing this wrong.

Now I am rather of a humor to write a story backward using Hemingways where each Hemingway explains the setting for the last.

The paleontologist was recently found dead.

All we found was his arm.

Deep footprints in the squelching mud.

Water ripples from the distant thudding.

A kaleidoscope of frightened tropical birds.

He had to visit Jurassic Park...

She barely restrained the selfish tears.

Your life was meant for more.

Please don't leave me! You can't...

You are full of broken promises.

Spend the love inside your heart.

Shattered glass pane, never the same.

Can hearts break more than once?

How foolish was I to trust.

Hope from aching hearts is fragile.

There never was a next time.

But child, don't forget to love.

Her smile burst into forgotten laughter.

Like sunlight from the heart: joy.

There's more to life than sorrow.

Flash fiction is fascinating (as well as alliteration). Honestly, I don't think anyone has ever beat Hemingway at it. When I read his, the emotional reaction was instantaneous and powerful. My mind filled in the story behind the words.

Now most flash fiction sets a requirement around 100 words. I've tried it, and it's a great vehicle for teaching you to be very specific with the words you choose. It is difficult to actually tell a story as opposed to resorting to catchy phrases or gimmicks.

So, can I put a different spin on this challenge? I'll give you the plot arc, and you have to tell it in as few words as possible. Is it OK to do that here, or should I start a separate thread?

That's a great idea, but I would recommend making a new thread, as this one has always been normal 6-word hemmingways. :) You should do it! :D
