Seriously? I have vague recollections of liking that Hemingway, and can definitely see expanding it, but I don't remember any of my ideas. :P

It's been awhile since I wrote any of these...

Words swirled, untouchable by silent lips.

A sword, no one to kill.

It started when the package came.

The darkness wants to kill me.

The dark magician wanted perfect peace.

A simple prayer: "Please, God... Help."

The blank page called her, "Write."

He drew his sword. Too late.

A searing pain ripped, shattering consciousness.

Okay, that went from hopeful to dark to sadistic very quickly.

Now I'm on a Hemingway kick because of the weekly goal/read-a-thon thing...

Light bites my vision away. Blinded.

Ambushed by my own men. "Traitors!"

"We're going down. Save my daughter."

Cleansing by fire. Burned to death.

Here are a few (20) Hemingways I did this week:

Hemingways? Maybe. I'll think about it.

The wolf staggered back, snarling desperately. That was my first one. :P

"Why?" Taurus' abyssal voice shook me.

It roared; dwarven forms scattered everywhere.

His laugh lines resembled concentric rings.

His leg lacerated, he began crawling.

The airplane engine coughed. I choked.

"Git or I'll twist yer horns!"

The frisbee struck home. He crumpled.

The gun chattered. The balrog exploded.

The library! I’ll be living here...

The Dogs're coming. Eat the carrot!

Hey look, I'm floating!...Oh no...

Fortunately, his collarbone halted the knife.

They breathe fire! Get yours now!

Alien crossing, watch for tractor beams.

THUD...“One down, 34 to go.

Faun bridge--other races cross there ---->

The lawnmower quit abruptly. Screaming ensued.

The camera flashed excessively. Sasquatch ran.

Those are my first attempts...how'd I do?

Okay, here's my try at Hemingway's.

The music started. It sang perfectly.

The squares are cut. I sew.

The sky darkens, following my thoughts.

Seven hours, 100 chickens, six freezers.

"Can it be?" "Yes, it can!"

I did it! How are they?

The bowl fell. No fish survived.

The rock rolled. They never moved.

The spider crawled - but not long.

She couldn't think, so she didn't.

Her treachery caused the king's defeat.

What floats your boat sinks mine.

There was no treasure. He lied.

His jealousy caused his brother's death.

Random hemmingways:

I must get that clock fixed.

Why is it always the apples?

Life and death - she chose life.

The earth shook. Aliens - they'd arrived.

Hey! Where'd you put my dinner?!

The bad man tookded my icecream!

I thought you might, after seeing you and Jonathan go back and forth about kiling spiders. :) I actually almost put it this way: (count this as an alternate ending)

The spider crawled - BushMaid smashed it.

:D

This sounds like fun. Let me try my hand at it. *warning, the shortest thing I ever wrote was over 150,000 words*

Anyway...

I have taken over the world.
